The Ebrington Hotel

My tour company originally booked me at the Holiday Inn Express but somebody messed up and I was booked at the The Ebrington Hotel instead. The hotel had a lovely scent when I first entered and I must admit that I wanted to book a spa appointment to try it out but check in was around 5 pm which would have been too late. The room was very comfortable and better than five star hotels I had stayed in before. Getting to my room 225 was a slight challenge as I had to clear multiple doors from the lift lobby and some required tapping the card. My highlight of the stay was the food in the restaurant. It was very good and everything was do fresh and delicious, It was not overpriced and value for money. If I were to return to Dery on my own, I would definitely book The Ebrington Hotel as my accomadation choice. Well done!

We had a great stay at the Ebrington, myself and my Mum stayed for one night. We had a fabulous view from the room, had a gorgeous meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was great. We found every staff member really friendly. The weather was gorgeous so sitting out the front having a drink was just lovely !

Had the pleasure of eating in the Corner house bar within the Ebrington. The food was excellent,the coffee was equally as good,but where they really score was the wonderful staff who go the extra mile in customer service .Thoroughly recommend a visit.

I came for lunch on the 16th April. I am a wheelchair user and I have visited the Hotel once before in December 2023. Unfortunately the same incident occurred on both occasions. Yes, they have accessible ramps and everything looks so inviting. However once you reach the accessible door the staff seem to have the automatic door switched off! Therefore one has to wave or knock on the door to attract attention. This is undignified and unacceptable. A disabled person has the right to enter and exit an establishment unhindered just like anyone else. In December, I sat in the rain for 10 minutes! Oh yes, the staff are very apologetic but they don’t have to suffer the indignity of waiting for some stranger to open the door for them. PLEASE LEAVE THE AUTOMATIC DOOR SWITCHED ON! That is why it is there! To balance my review, the Hotel is lovely, staff are courteous and the food is lovely. Unfortunately all tarnished by being embarrassed at the doorstep!

This was my 2nd time saying here in aa short space. The £99 deal is amazing. Can highly recommend this. This food was excellent. The staff were amazing couldn’t have been more helpful. Couldn’t fault 1 thing. We ate in the bar before we checked in and it was always very good. Will be back shortly 😍

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is lovely, the rooms lovely and the spa perfect for a short stay. The beds are comfy the decor is great. The reception staff were lovely, the spa staff lovely but the restaurant experience… what a shame.. we had dinner bed breakfast. I don’t know where to start with our evening meal. The issue here is a combination of two things… the service and the portions.. the service was one of the slowest I have ever came across, the wine came after our starter (after a 40 min wait) the main another half hour with the sides several minutes after it and dessert we had to find a waiter to ask for. My wife had the beef brisket which was good to be fair, however I had the pork … I appreciate fine dining but the portion size… 2 pieces of pork the same size as two pieces of sushi.. you pay extra for sides btw as the main doesn’t come with one... we complained to the bar manager (as did six other tables, all complaining about the service) there was no restaurant manager as it was his day off….. to be fair to the bar manager he did his best as he was getting it from all angles.. he removed the charge for the sides as a way of apology. The breakfast was great to be fair, what a tail of contrasts

From the moment you enter the Ebrington, the quality of the decor is evident. Beautiful common areas and gorgeous bedrooms. The bed was comfortable and the bedding just perfect. We both had a great night's sleep, which was rounded off by one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had! The staff couldn't have been more helpful. This was our first visit to the Ebrington and we can't wait to return! We highly recommend.

Popped in this afternoon with a few friends for a drink. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who took our order of 3 cocktails. About 20 minutes later, and after another waiter asked if our drinks had arrived (they had not), we received our drinks. One of the cocktails (French martini) was clearly made incorrectly and tasted awful. We flagged another waiter and politely advised what the issue was and he took it away without saying anything. After ANOTHER 15 minutes, they returned with what appeared to be the same drink but with some extra fruit juice added - it still tasted terrible and was essentially vodka and fruit juice. The waiter proceeded to watch my friend drink the cocktail and rolled his eyes when it was clear it didn't taste as it should. They then took the cocktail away again, and asked if my friend if she would like a different drink, which was then provided. Overall service was poor, slow, and simply lacking what you'd expect from a 4 star establishment.

Stayed for 1 night Easter weekend, absolutely stunning decor & beautiful smell throughout the lobby. Check in was quick with very little information given. We were then sent to the wrong room. I went back down to ask was there a mistake to then be told yes apologies I’m new . Which is fine everyone has to learn but I think having untrained staff at front of house with no guidance isn’t very professional. Anyways got to the right room, opened the door to what was a king executive room & it was very very small, I have read other reviews about how small the rooms are. I booked this room hoping for extra space as it was myself my husband & our toddler. The bed definitely was not kingsize & you could touch each wall with your hand from the bed that’s how little room there was at either side. A cupboard shoved into the corner where the door couldn’t fully open because of the desk. Looked out the window to see a grey wall 3 feet from the window. From that moment I just knew we weren’t going to have a very comfortable night. We got ready to go to the pool, got there & were told no children allowed. The staff were lovely at the Spa & were shocked no one told us this at check in, as I said check in was very vague no information given. It does state on the website it’s over 16s so that’s partly my fault too I should I knew this. Anyways went back to the room to bath my daughter & the bath water was absolutely freezing so we weren’t able to use it. Had dinner in the pub/lounge which was just ok nothing spectacular. Had one drink in the lobby & went to bed to experience the worst nights sleep. Pillows are far to high, I ended up rolling the bathrobes up to try make pillows for us all, my husband ended up having to make a bed on the floor for him & my daughter as the bed was so uncomfortable. We saw every hour on the clock! Only my husband had had 3 pints & would have been over the limit we would have got into the car & drove home at 4am. Breakfast was nice & staff were very helpful. Would I stay here again for £204 a night definitely not!
