We stayed as a family of four (two adults and 9 and 11 year old, 9 year old has special needs) and had a mixed experience- mostly b/c we booked through Marriott Homes and Villas to use points. I strongly urge caution when booking through Marriott as there is no support. The apartment was clean and well-managed, but there were notable downsides. Despite booking a room with two bedrooms and two king beds (my husband and kids are all very tall), the advertised bed sizes were incorrect, and our children couldn’t share a bed comfortably. One kept falling out of bed and we asked for support from the front desk and they offered us a cot for 100 USD nightly- we had a busy schedule so instead of fighting with the front desk, I tried to escalate to Marriott- let me tell you- there is 0 support. No response to email/no response to phone calls- literally just went to voicemail. I followed up with the front desk the next night and they explained that they were also annoyed with marriott- that the listing has been incorrect and now two months later, it is still incorrect. The staff did nicely arrange linens on the floor for her to sleep on (as she continually fell out of bed). It took a few days for her to admit that she was not sleeping at night at which point I pushed the staff to give us a cot free of charge, but this was far from ideal given the cost (over $1,000 per night) and we did end up paying extra for this specific room when there were other less expensive units that would have fit out needs. Some maintenance issues—like broken window handle locks —were acknowledged but not fixed, leading to stuffy nights as the windows could not stay open and there are no fans in the unit. The living room setup was also uncomfortable for a family of four- watching a movie and sprawling out was not possible as the couch was somewhat small (fits three max) and the extra chairs were not comfortable for watching a movie. It seemed like requests required a few follow ups- I may have received a few fans if I pressed the issue, the cot may have come sooner- but we had such full days and we were normally out of the apt by 10 am and didn't return until after 10 pm- I blame myself for not pushing , but I also would have appreciated some proactiveness. The location is vibrant- centrally located with lots of great shopping, bars, and restos- but there were a few fights/drunks breaking bottles on the street which woke us up. This seemed to only happen on Friday and Saturdays- the rest of the week was fine. Not a critique of the hotel - just something to know about the area. The apartment was clean and well stocked, but the bathrooms did have a sewer smell to them that seemed somewhat common for the area. We’d recommend NEVER booking through Marriott Homes & Villas- I know I paid a premium to use my points- and calling to verify bed sizes if this is important to you
