Britannia International Hotel Canary Wharf

Hoewel het hotel oud is, zijn de locatie en de omgeving echt onvergelijkbaar. De mensen bij de receptie waren erg aardig en ze hebben het kamertype gratis geüpgraded.

Er was geen warm water en geen roomservice. De medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en enthousiast, maar lossen het probleem niet op! Hotelfaciliteiten zijn te slecht! Het netwerk is te slecht en het signaal van de mobiele telefoon is niet goed! Kortom, blijf niet!

Staff was amazing - professional and polite. Bit understaffed at times, but they did their best. Amenities were a bit lacking, as they didn't even have a toothbrush or slippers provided within the room. The room was really cheap, but I'd rather have a toothbrush and slippers over an ironing board within the room. Location was pretty good, just a 7 minute walk to the Tube.

Absolutely filthy. Currently in dispute with Trip about this hotel. Given the price, location and the last minute need for work I thought this would be ideal. Too good to be true. Avoid at all costs. Dodgy clientele too, not sure if they are refugees or displaced people the council are putting up, but I wouldn't be surprised. Didn't feel safe at all. I left and checked into the Hilton nearby.

Booked this trip for my finances birthday. The hotel is outdated which we were aware of and no issues there but if you’re looking for something modern it’s not the place for you. The lift doors were very sticking and didn’t seem to open properly and had a bad smell to them. Checked in ok, went to our room which had the heating on full blast and the temp was showing at 39c. We tried to open the window but it was held closed by just a screw. The bed was very comfy to sleep on but we only stayed one night so wasn’t too bad. The next morning we were disturbed by housekeeping entering our room at 8am saying hello then quickly exiting and then hoovering the corridors banging the walls and our door. We told reception about this but was greeted by a rude member of staff who pointed to another lady then walked off. The lady behind the desk said she’ll talk to housekeeping again so sounds like this happens a lot. We then decided to go for breakfast to be told it was £15 each! Apparently when you check in you can buy breakfast at a discounted rate of £12.50 but no one told us or offered this at check in. We decided to go elsewhere for breakfast. All in all we had a good trip to London but will not recommend this hotel or ever be returning again. I wish I had spent a bit more and gone to a better hotel.

It’s old but feels like classic movies that is maintained good

Do not go for the windowless rooms, a tiny dirty room, disgusting scent at the lobby. I will never book this hotel again.
