Nox Kensington

I can’t even be bothered to waste my energy writing about this place. Just avoid. Worst experience in years at reception. Paid in full up front online via Nox website but wouldn’t let me check in as required a £100 deposit but you had to have a physical card. They don’t accept Apple Pay.

I stayed here for one night for work. The room has everything you need including a little kitchenette. Facilities are all very clean and modern. Location wise, about 10 minutes walk from Olympia. A bit on the pricey side given no breakfast is included, that said I would stay there again.

Don’t recommend this place. It’s a scam motel. Once they get your money you have very little to say about what you get. The place is noisy dirty infested with mold and small insects in addition if room is hot or cold they don’t care about your comfort since they already got your money

AVOID! No refund for a 2h stay! And this is not a 4 star hotel, not sure how they passed that criteria! False advertising and horrible experience. We checked in at 4pm and checked out at 6pm, there was drilling above our head, hoovering in hallway, ripped curtains, ripped bedsheets etc. We came to reception and said we needed to rest and are not happy with noise and room and want to leave! We weren't given any other option and receptionist checked us out before we even finished talking. I asked for refund policy and was given email to manager who refused to answer question about refund until lastly he said "I never said you'll be given refund! Avoid!

Firstly, it stunk of cigarette smoke. We also met the manager who was incredibly rude and stand offish whilst checking in, a real arrogance about the higher staff at this place. Would highly recommend not choosing this hotel for your stay. Nothing about our experience was pleasant.

Please don’t go this hotel, frankly speaking. First of all, the rooms provided are full of cigarette smoke, very unfriendly to people with sensitive nose, and the staff have not done anything that can produce substantive measures to help solve the problem; in addition, the hotel manager's way of dealing with the problem is disappointing, refusing to communicate face-to-face to solve the problem, only caring about his own behavior in CCTV and covering up the facts too much, and even describing statements containing potential threatening words in the email complaint. All in all, choose another hotel for your happiness and safety.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights, found it generally clean and it did the job. I would like to end my review there but unfortunately me and my partner had to deal with an awful smell of cigarettes in our room the entire trip. We first noticed it when we returned from being out shortly after we’d checked in, and the smell of cigarette smoke hit us as soon as we opened the door. We assumed this smell might’ve come from the (albeit closed) window, but before checking out this morning we realised the smell was a lot stronger in the bathroom, so maybe the smell was coming from inside the building. Either way, it was seriously unpleasant. Neither of us smoke but that’s besides the point, no one wants to stay in a room that smells that strong. Another note to add was that we rang on the day we arrived asking if they had somewhere we could store our luggage before we checked in and we were told there was. When we arrived however, I wouldn’t exactly call it a place to store our luggage, as we were told to leave our bags in the main corridor. I appreciate them offering to keep our bags as I know not every hotel does, however keep this in mind if you are carrying valuables and don’t want anyone to have access to your bags.

If you want to be woken up at 08:30 because housekeeping is outside your bedroom door hoovering the corridor after paying £120 for a night then this is your hotel. And Victor ‘the manager’ struggles to manage anything really as when we kindly asked for a late checkout at 12 he then responded if you check out even 1 minute after 11:00 you will lose your £100 deposit. This hotel is barely worth a £100 deposit with an unfinished painted ceiling and cracks on the flooring. Even if I was desperate I would not stay at this hotel again due to the rude customer service I would rather sleep outside.

Really impressed with our accommodation, had seen bad reviews but couldn’t fault our stay in Nox Kensington, from the pleasant friendly staff to the room itself, bright and airy and above all very clean, quiet area and close to shops etc. Honestly very satisfied and will stay again.
