Premier Inn London Paddington (Paddington Basin)

On the day of check-out, we politely inquired if it was possible to have a late check-out for an additional fee, as the hotel offers early check-in for a fee of (£10), and the response was no. We then inquired if there is available room to book for additional night, and the response was NO, in an inappropriate manner, without she check if there is available room (there was a rooms available on the website). Really, we felt like we were asking the receptionist for a favor and not for a service to be paid for , So I booked another hotel to escape the rudeness of the hotel staff They taught their employees to reject guest requests, but they overlooked that some requests were considered beneficial to the hotel.

Great location, clean rooms, quiet during the night, extra tea/coffee supplied upon request, friendly staff . Issue with the water. Boiling hot and couldn’t turn cold mixer tap on. Didn’t report at the time but probably would have been sorted if I had. I just added cold water from the sink taps to the bath.

This hotel was only 5 minute walk to trains. Large room with big window let in lots of light. Lovely shower. Staff were very helpful. So quiet at night so good night sleep. We loved this stay so much. I will use this hotel on every visit to London.

The room was a family room and was spacious enough for the four of us. the check-in proceedure was easy and all reception staff very approachable and helpful. The children's meals were good value and good protion sizes. The breakfast buffet was good - there was a range of foods available from continental breakfast to coocked breafast. The hotel is located close to the railway starion, underground and bus routes making movemnent around the city easy.

When we arrived at around 12pm we asked for early check in, we got told they were fully booked so unable to do so so they held our luggage so we could go about our day. We returned at around 2:30pm and we was willing to wait but got told we could check in. We went to a staff member who made us aware she was new so sorry about delays which we was fine with. No one was with her and the other two members of staff were checking other people in. They left her to deal with us on her own and helped on the odd occasion. After finally sorting a room she asked for payment. My card would not be accepted as after someone finally come to help her they said they have put it through as debit so it will come off my card in a few days. We went to our room and then we left for the evening and got a phone call asking for us to come back as payment has not gone through. We got back to the hotel and we was then told payment has to be paid, I wanted proof that we won’t be charged twice as I was told earlier it was a debit and then I was told it just wasn’t put through. I understand she was training and I do not blame her I just think that the training provided should of been someone with her 1-1 so that this wouldn’t of happened. Everyone else that was getting checked in next to us was checked in quickly and we was waiting to be checked in for at least half hour as this was all sorted. The day after both of our keys stopped working and had to wait in a queue at reception to sort this and there was no clear queue and people kept pushing in. Something should of been put in place so that there was a clear queue.

A standard Premier Inn, the usual super comfy Hypnos mattress but what really made this one stand out over others that I have used recently was the staff. The breakfasts and evening meal were really good not the usual reheated fayre. The Hotel was full booked as it was Easter Weekend but nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were all friendly. Sam, reception and Lisa, F & B really stood out and went the extra mile, thank you.

told I had no booking when I did, was denied the right to my possessions for absolutely o reason, shouted and abused at by a female duty manager with black hair, and told to leave and forced off the property without my belongings. police said it was illegal but when they spoke to the female she lied on the phone, this hotel chain must be scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to staff, this person is unfit for purpose and not the only one, atmosphere of bullying in general by this female experienced and overheard, abolutely disgusting and i believe she has dne this to others, not refunded as far as I know... impossible to ascertain.... unprofessionalsim is an understatement, i want to know how she got the job and if she is CRB checked and if any of the staff are, also all the housekeeping staff are non British and clearly E. Europeans.

The beds were super comfy, the staff were friendly, security was good and the rooms were clean. Nice restaurant on site, this is a good place for families with kids. Great location, would stay here again.
