Ramada by Wyndham Liverpool Syracuse

We have been attending the Syracuse nationals for around 20 years and had reservations at this hotel for most of them. The hotel was a Holiday Inn until this year. Staff has always been pleasant and very helpful. Ramada are the new owners and things could not be more the opposite. Staff was rude and referred to us as" That Group". The shuttle was not available for" That Group" Nothing has been done to the rooms as far as update. The TV was replaced with a smaller TV but the larger was still left in place. TV channel guide did not correspond with channel numbers . Refrigerator freezer was never defrosted. desk chair had holes .Dirty cups and no shampoo .Only pleasant part was Mary and Matt in the restaurant. Mary has been there for years and was is and always was wonderful to the guests .One day the elevator was possessed and would not stop to let people out . Had trouble several days with the lock on the room door. Avoid this hotel

I accidentally stumbled upon this hotel when my Uber driver dropped me off at the wrong location and drove off before I could flag her down. I was stranded as I spent the last of my money on my only way back. Stuck with a newborn and my service dog, a man working front desk (Steve) immediately jumped in and knew something was wrong. Without hesitation, he booked me an Uber ride back to the correct hotel after he called on his personal phone and was on hold for over 10 minutes. Bless you Steve!!!

We stayed for my nephews birthday and got rooms next door to my brother& sister. I had just given my sons a bath, obviously had used the beds to dress my youngest, and sat on, laid on. My sons were watching tv on the beds. (3mo & 4yr) I call the front desk to ask them if they could bring some pillowcases because the pillow cases look pretty roughed up, the pillows look slept on. Mind you, we weren’t there long at this point, had just gotten back from the mall and got straight to the baths. Just to be safe- . I get ready to pull the blankets back and there is BODY HAIR in the bed. EW. Not just one strand. And like dirt at the bottom of the sheets. Looked like dirty feet maybe? Imagine what else would be there! Either way. I call back. Asked them to just come change all the sheets and everything please. I was hoping it was just a mistake. Politely told them this room did not seem like it was cleaned and whomever the woman was at the front desk then tells me- I kid you not- “oh yeah that’s because you were checked into a dirty room” IM SORRY WHAT?! I told her “ma'am what do you mean dirty? I’ve had my children in here on these beds.. what happens now? Is someone coming to clean it? What are you going to do?” No, she says, “we’ve got to put you in another room either way so I guess that’s what I’m going to do” I tell her we are here with family and would like a room on this same floor or close. They put us at the opposite end of the hotel. They made no attempt to rectify this. No refunds, no discounts, NO APOLOGY. Just attitude. My husband was the one to go speak to her personally. At this point, I’m so frustrated and feeling so walked on I just want to go home. He said he would handle it in the morning. We slept on it. Well, tried. Even if it weren’t for the couple having ‘relations’ all night.. LOUDLY.. I stayed awake most of the night. We didn’t enjoy one minute we stayed there. My family was put directly in filth and possible contamination from I dunno ANYTHING ?! And we paid them to do it. No, nothing became of this. It’s July now, nearly a month later, it still keeps me up at night that this hotel staff was so careless to put us in there.. and so arrogant as to how they “handled it” after. It took a lot for me to not let them have it at the front desk at check out time but ..what would that have done for me?? Im not even 100% who the person was or whose fault directly is was.. and my kids were there. My husband convinced me to just let it go. We had plans and I didn’t want to start the day off like that.. but the more I have been sitting with it- the more I feel like something-ANYTHING should be done to rectify this. I’m so saddened by the way this all played out. My sons, my family, we matter. This hotel made us feel like we didn’t. We were just another dollar sign. I’m sure they don’t mind that we will never be staying there again but you know what? You should, morally, you really should. I sincerely hope nobody else has to go through this

This hotel was nice, but it is the pool with a section that is 9 feet deep and shared with the adjoining hotel that makes this location. The proximity to a Tesla charger was also a great feature making our road trip go even smoother. An included breakfast would have been nice, but I was just as happy to get bite at our next stop. Was surprised how small the bathroom was in our two queen bed room.

A few issues here for sure. First of all ... DON'T BOOK THROUGH A THIRD PARTY LIKE *******.... CALL DIRECT We paid for breakfast and they said we didn't...... I was proven on the last day and now getting our money back is a pain in the A$$ WANT INTERNET IN THE ROOMS?.... forget it. They don't have it. They tell everyone the same "they're working on it"....... Internet only works in the lobby ROOMS ARE VERY DATED. We asked for a cott.......... what an embarrassment. the sag in the middle of the mattress was about 4-5 inches WASHROOMS IN THE ROOMS.... smallest I've seen in a long time. there is barely enough room to stand in them. For a Ramada, I was very surprised Pool was good.. THE CABLE IN THE ROOMS...... complete crap.... our tv and others we talked to all said the same thing.... It freezes constantly

Better off paying more for cleanliness and comfort or choosing a cheaper option. The rooms are incredibly smoky, no refrigerators in room, ice machine was broken, and there was dirt and hair throughout the room and bathroom. I would not recommend staying here.

I should have known from the start when the front desk person couldn’t find my confirmed reservation that this would not be a stellar experience. First room I was sent to looked like someone spilled some strange stuff on the headboard. When I asked for a new room the same front desk person told me I needed to remove all of my things from room #1 and return the key cards before she would issue key cards for the new room…WTF. After finally resolving that issue it was time to focus on the 1980s looking room with the throwback bathroom, the lack of any charging devices and most importantly the non existing WiFi. My front desk friend, when asked, said “oh it’s spotty”.

I stayed here when it was a different brand and nothing much has changed with new ownership. The rooms are VERY hot-you can turn the thermostat to 65 but it doesn't really cool it down. Luckily, the window can be opened an inch or 2 and that helps. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the room and the bathrooms are incredibly small. The beds also said queen size on the reservation, but they were more like full size. Convention center area was a good space for the dance competition we were at but would probably stay at a different hotel in future if dance competition is held here again. The rooms need major updating.

The manager really did her job she went above and beyond her job title and really helped fix our issue with the booking company. She really did what was supposed to be done they where giving us issues.
