Cley Hall

Cley Hall Hotel was ideal for a one night stay on a business trip, very central to town. Easy 5 minute walk. Parking on site, Staff very friendly and provided me with plenty of information of local restaurants etc. Breakfast ok. Good value for what was paid.

This is now my go to place to stay when I visit friends in Spalding and was my second stay. On my first visit I had a double room in the annex, which came with a kitchen! It was so nice. This time I decided to try a single, and although smaller, as expected, the bed was a large single, one and a half single, or whatever it's called, and the room was perfectly comfortable, with a nice ensuite. Plenty of supplies for refreshments and a welcome pack of biscuits. The staff are very pleasant and the breakfasts are superb. Nice to find a place that makes a decent breakfast omelette! Highly recommend. Location is good for town and parking has never been a problem. Even with a wedding on, I managed to squeeze my car in at the front of the hotel, and as back up there is a public car park a little way along the road.

Very positive experience Had an issue a few days before the stay that the manager (very friendly) sorted over the phone A couple of room hiccups after I checked in, but guy on reception/bar duty sorted both of them. Room was reasonably modern, well decorated comfortable: adequate for the price. Breakfast was better than more expensive hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff worked very hard. All staff were very friendly in all interactions. All in all, very impressed.

We had our wedding reception at Cley Hall Hotel and can highly recommend them. Hannah was absolutely fantastic with all the arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble. Her customer service and communications were excellent. The hotel is of an exceptionally high standard of beautiful decor, comfort and cleanliness. The function room was superb as was the food and service. Hannah and the team are so friendly and helpful that it enabled the whole organisation process to be relatively stress free. All our guests commented on what a wonderful venue we had chosen which was a big part of what made the day so magical. We also stayed in the hotel at the Junior Suite which was absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would absolutely recommend the hotel for excellent quality and value for money and Hannah and the team for trustworthy and reliable service. Thank you so much for making our special day so perfect.

I misinterpreted the description of Cley Hall and expected a stately home type of residence when in fact it resembled a traditional bed and breakfast boarding house. I feel the name Hall should be omitted as it is not a hall but a Georgian house with a small private garden . On arrival our designated room was not in the main house but in the coach house . The room was very cold and I was disappointed with its size and decor. We were about to turn on the radiator for some heat but the valve wasn’t connected to the radiator and it was cold . We raised this with the night porter and we were immediately upgraded to a lovely room in the main house. We tried to turn on the bedside lamp and it didn’t work. We raised this and it was replaced immediately which was great . However we were disappointed that these things were not checked prior to our arrival . The bed was very comfortable . We were surprised about the amount of traffic and at the speed of the traffic on the road of which there was no warning in the website. Breakfast was adequate . The night porter was excellent and resolved all our problems immediately. He was friendly and polite. Would I stay at Cley Hall Hotel again sadly no . If we had stayed in our original room I feel it would not have offered good value for the price .

A warm welcome as always and once again Gemma was most helpful. The ground floor room we had was lovely with room to relax and even a small kitchenette and dining table. As usual we had an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, good quality ingredients and service was efficient and friendly. Can't wait for our next trip

The hotel is in a good spot people were friendly and helpful the bed was comfortable except the room was a little cold. The breakfast was very good
