When I arrived I was told that this hotel had been closed and I was taken to another hotel about 20 minutes away.
The other hotel looked beautiful, the room was nice but it was not what I had been promised (there was no bath). The staff were helpful enough on the first day but spoke very little English so I wasn't quite sure what had happened to the other hotel. I got breakfast with my room, which was noodles but the lady serving was very rude and seemed angry that I didn't understand Chinese.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice, it even had a heated toilet seat!
The location is good, close enough to the road to walk and get taxis, but still in the old town so you can soak up the atmosphere. It's a little way away from the main thoroughfare of the main town and I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
The cute dog was definitely the best selling point of the hotel!
