Songyun No.1 Hostel

This was a nice stay right the old town. The owner is very nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

Very good hotel, calm and quiet. The stuff is very helpful, always tried to help me. They booked the transportation to my next destination and give me a lot of tips about place to visit. 100% recommendable!!

This hotel is absolutely stunning! The location is perfect as it’s on the outskirts of the Shuhe Ancient Town. The room was beautiful and clean. All of you the hotel staff were warm and welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. They even helped us arrange transport from Lijiang to Shangri-la. We highly recommend staying here when you visit Lijiang.

Lovely place. Perfect location and a character filled hostel. Breakfast was basic but filling. Only downside was that our corner room despite being beautifully decorated had no natural light and the lighting in there was insufficient, it also lacked a door on the bathroom. The biggest plus here though we’re the staff. They went above and beyond to help us out with booking cars and giving information about local trips. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Lijiang and want something a little calmer than staying in Lijiang Old Town.

A very nice place in a very nice area. It’s convenient to go around Shuhe old town from here. Good service, clean rooms, a large swimming pool and lots of flowers and places to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend this place.

The service was friendly and reliable. The place was clean and inviting. Our only suggestion would be to have full curtains in the bathrooms for privacy. Other than that, we would stay again! The hospitality was receptive and kind and the wonderful reviews we read matched our expectations. It was on a quieter side of town which was nice when you wanted to go directly to sleep. The courtyards were beautiful and you could tell that everything was well maintained and thought out. Good location too.

The service was excellent! The hotel staff didn't speak English but endeavoured to communicate using a variety of apps. Whenever we had a question about the local area, they provided us with lots of information. They also helped us with arranging transport to Shangri-La. My friends and I booked a family room. It was spacious and super comfortable. There was no air conditioning but it wasn't too much of a problem. We stayed there for a few days in July and it was cool in the evenings. The hotel is near the entrance of the ancient town so it's easy to access different restaurants and shops. The hotel staff provided some of the best service we had during our trip around China. It was great!

Very traditional style guesthouse, was not a perfect location and not easy to find but the management are very hospitable and friendly. Helped a lot with finding restaurants and organising cars for us

Great little spot! The manager picked us up from the parking lot which is not far and helped carry our luggage to the hotel. Our kids loved the pool although we didn't get to swim much. Great little spot. Loved all the flowers!
