Na door een grote poort te hebben gereden, werden wij verrast door de mooie, goed verzorgde tuin en zwembad. Tancat de Codorniu is een uitermate goed onderhouden hotel met prachtige ruimtes en restaurant. De ontvangst was uiterst gastvrij en de receptioniste liep nog mee naar ons verblijf om de weg te wijzen. Helaas was onze suite nog niet klaar en daarom werd er meteen een drankje van het huis aangeboden. Wij hadden de 'luxe vierpersoonskamer' gereserveerd. Hierbij is een klein 'eigen' zwembadje, tuin en vijver aanwezig (zo leuk, de schildpadjes die hier zaten!) De kamers zijn schoon, ruim en modern ingericht. Mooie badkamers! Auto kan vlakbij worden geparkeerd. Kluisje en minibar aanwezig. Het zwembad is groot met volop ligbedden. De grote verrassing was echter het restaurant Citrus; we hebben heerlijk gegeten! Mooi gedekte tafels, vriendelijke bediening, nouvelle cuisine. gastronomisch! Helaas gebeurde hier wel hetzelfde als in zoveel Spaanse restaurants: het eten wordt in rap tempo geserveerd. De borden worden bijna onder je neus weg gehaald. Ik heb twee keer gevraagd of er misschien iets meer tijd tussen de gangen kon zitten maar de uitleg was dat dit moeilijk voor de keuken was?! Pas bij de desserts werd hier rekening mee gehouden. Jammer want wat is er leuker dan een avond gezellig tafelen in plaats van binnen 1.5 uur buiten te staan? Maar dit was dan ook het enige minpuntje. Ontbijt vond plaats in een leuke omgeving en werd uitgeserveerd. We werden door dezelfde vriendelijke receptioniste uitgeleide gedaan. Een top adres en we gaan zeker terug!

We booked this hotel without really knowing anything about it as a stopover on our roadtrip in Spain. What a great find!! The hotel itself is in beautiful grounds, palm trees, beautiful bougainvillea, orange groves, its a little slice of paradise (and this was in mid January!) The pools, surrounded by lawns and gazebos looked very inviting, but were a bit chilly despite the 20 degeee January sunshine. The receptionist was welcoming and very nice as was our lovely, well equiped room with a beautiful terrace with a view of the garden and surrounding mountains. The lounge areas were tastefully appointed and the open fire (burning orange wood?) made for a cosy evening backdrop to enjoy some wine and tapas. We slept very well and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning, with some of the best breakfast buffet food I've had. Its a five minute stroll through the orange groves and olive trees to the coast, which has some stoney beaches, and a nice walk into town (8km there and back). All in all a really great find. Highly recommended, just wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Third visit to this wonderful place. Upgraded each time. Fabulous experience.gorgeous grounds. Good food but be aware that you should ask for accompaniments or you will just receive a ‘very lovely’ piece of steak or fish. Pleasant staff but courses came a little too quickly. Checkin staff delightful. Bit of a gem

Beautiful secluded hotel in the citrus groves. Spacious rooms and comfortable and relaxing public space inside and out with an excellent restaurant. Staff are amazing.

We had lunch in the main restaurant of the taster menu with pairing wines it was superb. We want to go back and stay at the Hotel which had beautiful grounds and another restaurant in the garden which looked very good. Staff were excellent and would recommend it to anybody.

We spent two nights in this beautiful hotel .We loved the atmosphre from outside with many palm and tangerine trees . We liked the decoration from inside with comfortable white Sofas and fire place . Actually there a plenty of places to sit and relax ( also outside by the 2 pools , bar and the two restaurants , an ideal place to celebrate events such a wedding for exemple . We hat the room called " special number 9 "which has a very nice terrase with deck chairs and a view facing the palm trees . The room is spacious with comfortable bed and the hydromassage bath is a big plus ! Breakfast was very good . The service professional and friendly. We had a nice experience and can really recommended it .

A really nice hotel and I would return but at a busier time. The restaurant didn´t open as it was Monday and I didn´t know this until I booked but they did make me a nice sandwich. The staff were great, very helpful.
There was damage in the bathroom that had been repaired with sticky tape, It would have been a 10 min job for a odd job man. spoilt the effect.
