Chambre D’Hôte D’or les Anges

If you are visiting Avignon and don’t want the hassle of staying in a noisy city then stay here just a quick 5 mins car journey away. I am quite critical, as some of my previous reviews will testify , but I seriously don’t have anything negative to say. From the cheerful, smiley welcome to our last goodbye the owners couldn’t do enough. We were in the ground floor room with its own terrace. It was beautifully kitted out with some unique features. The shower was one of the best we have ever encountered even in 5 star hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable. The property has a small pool and is surrounded by top notch seating. Nothing has been skimped on here. There is a lovely old Vw van decked out as a bar. There is an outdoor terrace where we had the most delicious breakfast. Fresh bread and pastries were served with cold meats and cheese together with homemade jams. There was also a great water melon smoothie, a platter of fruit and nuts and portions of yoghurt. Each morning we were there - unfortunately only 2 - we were served with a speciality pastry. My last word of advice - don’t stay anywhere else!!!’

Absolutely fantastic B&B with good location 5 minutes drive from the old citycenter of Avignon. In Avignon there is a public parking just on the other side of the bridge. Clean, modern rooms and facilities, good bar- and breakfast restaurant. Nice garden with pool area. Friendly, helpful, well speaking english and caring staff. Privat parking behind gates at no extra cost. You need car and it was a little it hard to find in the middle of a residential area with no sign on the main street.. Restaurants and other facilities are several km away.
