Stonecroft Country Inn

We stayed at Stonecroft country Inn in the Yellow Barn. The Inn is in a lovely peaceful setting with many areas to relax - in the gardens, on the porch, in the hammock, on the swing. We had a beautiful large room with a fireplace, love seat, and huge bathroom. There was a sliding door opening to a large porch with chairs and tables for more relaxing! Breakfast was served downstairs in the dining room and left nothing to be desired. Plus it was delicious! The location was an easy access to Mystic, Foxwoods and I 95.

We had a wonderful time at the Stonecroft County Inn. The Innkeepers, Jodi and Scott, made us feel welcome and did an excellent job in making sure all of our needs were met. We enjoyed staying in the 1807 house. Our room was cozy and immaculately clean. The 1807 house was a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet ambience of this historic home. The breakfasts were outstanding! The Inn is in a perfect location, just a few miles from Mystic and all of the great restaurants. We definitely plan on coming back again!

The Stonecroft Country Inn is most exceptional! It is rurally located, just outside of Mystic. The Capt. Shubel Smith House, built in 1807, has been placed on the National Register of Historical Places. The Innkeepers, Scott & Jodie Norton, will be more than happy to share some interesting facts with you about Stonecroft. The rooms are beautifully decorated with extreme detail. The pillows and bed linens are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing! The bath linens are exceptional, not to mention the towel heaters! If you go during the colder months, relax & wrap yourself in a cozy blanket, with a good book and a cup of tea, in front of a gas fireplace! Of course, if you feel like watching a good movie, there are plenty to choose from! The gardens and patios are beautiful, especially in the spring & summer months. There are hammocks and garden benches to relax on. Take a stroll through the gardens after sunset and enjoy the magic of the solar lights strategically placed throughout. The breakfasts, which are prepared & served by the Norton's, are exquisite. It is truly a great way to start your day, being greeted by Jodie and hearing Scott's heartly laugh coming from the kitchen, as he is whipping up some delectable treat. You will also be greeted by Tanner, the Norton's Labradoodle. Their precious cat, Emma, may make an appearance, as well. As Mystic offers a whole host of things to enjoy, the Stonecroft is the perfect place to stay as a "home base." You can spend your days shopping downtown, visiting some of the many eateries, breweries, bakeries, and ice cream parlors. There are many other places to wander just outside of Mystic, as well ~ that will satisfy everyone's interest! Be sure to ask and the Norton's will be more than glad to give you some guidance. It is a wonderful place to stay, as there are many things to do all year round.

We went to the Stonecroft this past weekend. We love it there. Every time we go to Mystic and Foxwoods we stay with Jodi and Scott. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and clean. Scott makes an amazing breakfast every time. It always feels like we are visiting with family. They are warm and welcoming and dedicated to making your stay wonderful.

A lovely inn, country setting. Our room was large and comfy. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub in addition to a separate shower. The breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed an omlette (where you could choose your add-on), Canadian bacon, homefries, toast. The "starter" was a delicious banana bread (with chocolate), fresh fruit compote, choice of juices and coffee. Jodie and Scott were great!

Everything about the room and inn was incredible. We wanted to have a relaxing stress-free weekend getaway and we received just that. The innkeepers were incredible and attentive and the food was delicious. We plan to visit and stay at the Stonecroft in the future.

The Stonecroft Country Inn was wonderful. Our room was spotless and the fireplace and whirlpool tub were perfect for a cozy getaway in winter. The included breakfast was delicious and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful bed and breakfast. A must stay when visiting mystic or Foxwoods. Joann is so sweet and pleasant and goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. Rooms are airy and cozy. Amazing breakfast - best french toast I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back home his summer.

This is the coziest place we have ever stayed. The owners are great and their dog is a bonus. From start to finish, it was pleasant. The grounds are beautiful also. This was our second stay & I'm already looking to book are next night away.
