Sercotel Playa Canteras

靠近海邊沙灘，非常漂亮的海灘景色，酒店門口即有大型超市，購物非常方便，門口有沙灘長廊擺滿桌子，酒吧街非常熱鬧。

Nice hotel with rooms with direct view in the ocean. They accept (little) dogs but will charge you €20/night which is a bit expensive. Breakfast is honest with fresh products. I had a quite good time there.

The spacious room was a plus, like the bathroom too. The promised sea view from the bottom floor was a disappointment, because the street and the terrace were directly in front of the window. The bed was good. Breakfast was disappointing.

We arrived at 7pm as indicated, we had already checked in online, but still had to pretty much go through it all again. We go to our room only to find out the room we had been allocated was not what we had ordered and pre paid for. We had booked a deluxe double room with balcony and sea view, we were given a room with no balcony at all. We immediately returned to reception and after a lot of shrugging of shoulders by the receptionist, we were told that they were fully booked up and that there was no other room they could offer us. The manager on site did eventually offer us a refund of the the price difference between the two types of room if we would accept this. We were not at all happy and asked if any other rooms were available and even if ones may become available the next day etc. We were staying for 5 nights and the idea of being stuck in the allocated room was not very appealing as it was dark and not what we wanted. After a lot of questions from our end we did eventually find out there was another room with a sea view and balcony, but the room and bed etc were of a lot smaller size. We had a look at it and whilst the bed and the room were very small the large balcony did make up somewhat. We said we try it out for one night. Anyway, the bed was tiny and the room lacked storage and ground space to be comfortable. Luckily the weather and the view was superb so we spent most of time there on the balcony. The following day, we never got any calls or messages from the staff to see if we were happy. As it was going to be a lot of trouble to get the room we had wanted (not even sure that was possible as they were booked out, we just decided to stay put. On leaving to go for dinner the next night we got the key cards renewed for the remainder of the stay. We never once got any more correspondence from the hotel and on check out no comments made either. I really wanted to voice my anger again on leaving but the ship had sailed at that point, it is a nice hotel but we never felt comfortable there from the very start. I was very unhappy with the whole experience and did not feel the hotel were of any help to us at all and because of that I could not recommend this to anyone.

We found this hotel to be very comfortable. We upgraded to a Seaview room with a terrace and I was glad that we did. We found the bed to be very comfortable and the bathroom spacious, attractive and with a fabulous shower. The whole hotel is attractive and comfortable. The room had a Nespresso machine for making coffee which was very tasty, however, getting hold of more pods and cups was quite tricky. We ate breakfast in the hotel every day which was simple, but satisfactory and plentiful. The position of the hotel was excellent right on the beach and it’s an easy walk into the city. I was pleased that there was a hairdryer in the room, but found the cord for it very short, which made it difficult to use as it was attached to the wall.

Great room, also very clean. Friendly staff at the reception. Many choices at the breakfastbuffet, they kept everything stocked even after 10:25 at the morning. When there was some trouble, they fixed it very fast.

The hotel is very well, located just in sea front of the playa Cantera. The room was very good, quite spacious, clean with almost all amenities. I say almost because a kettle was missing with a kettle it would have been perfect. The only negative point is the breakfast. The breakfast was really very very basic. First of all, there is only one person who was serving and he was running all the time trying his best to satisfy all customers. He has to prepare your table, bring you mug and cutlery. No self-service for that. Second, there is only one coffee machine for everything, coffee, tea, hot water. Every morning you have to queue waiting to get your coffee, or tea. The last two days they did not had butter. I did ask for it the first day (and I am sure I wasn’t the only one who asked) but they did not bother. So the following days we were still without butter.

The wifi works pretty well, and the bed is supper comfy, if you want a great night sleeping is a great choice. The rooms in front of the beach are great and have very good views. We had a room in floor 8 and elevators only take you until floor 7. For long stays, We had to ask for clean sheets and towels because the cleaning wasn’t cleaning our room for 3 days and we were suffering the consequences being so near the beach. Also we never had coffee or tea in the room once we finish it the first night. But the staff was very responsive and everything was solve.

I really enjoyed my stay. I had a superior sea view room, which had fab views. Huge very comfortable bed, modern bathroom. I didn't try the restaurant. Staff were friendly, but we did have quite a wait to check in, as there was only one member of staff. The pool is very small with only 6 sunloungers, but if you can get a sunlounger, it's a lovely place to relax. My one negative comment, the room had a Nespresso coffee machine but only paper cups...a proper cup would have been good.
