We booked two rooms for 7 nights at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan. We are two families traveling together with three young children and a pregnant wife. We were excited for a relaxing vacation, but after just 4 days, we wanted to check out early. The hotel agreed to refund only one room (around 900–1000 USD), but refused to refund the second room. This decision was made even though the hotel is completely full (Chinese New Year, peak season). Our rooms could have been sold to other guests immediately, so there was no financial risk to the hotel. Why We Wanted to Leave Early: 1. Food Issues (Very Important for Muslim Families) The hotel is in an isolated location with no restaurants nearby. The on-site restaurants serve mostly spicy Asian food, often containing pork. As Muslim families with young children, we cannot eat spicy food or pork. This made every meal a struggle. 2. Transportation (A Nightmare) Getting a taxi is extremely difficult. · When we wanted to leave the hotel to go to the city, we often waited over an hour for a taxi. · When we tried to return to the hotel from the city (like Cebu), we waited up to 2 hours because drivers refuse to come to this hotel. · Even within the Mactan area, finding a taxi was not easy. · The hotel offers a transfer service, but it costs 2–3 times more than a regular taxi. For a family, this is not a practical solution. 3. Maintenance Issues On the very first day, we reported that the sink was clogged – water drained very slowly. We were promised it would be fixed. After 3 days, nothing had been done. On day 3, I personally told the General Manager, Mr. Robin Bernard, about the problem. He said: ”No problem, I will solve it.” But even after his promise, nothing happened. Finally, on day 4, housekeeping came to our room. We showed them the problem by running the water. They saw it immediately and called an engineer, who fixed it within 20 minutes. Mr. Bernard's promise meant nothing. The regular staff fixed it. Our Conversation with Management We requested an early checkout. Mr. Ross Bautista genuinely tried to help us. He suggested a possible refund for one room and arranged a meeting with his superior to discuss our case. That meeting was with General Manager Robin Bernard. Here is what happened: · He claimed he ”knew the situation”, but could not explain any details. We had to tell him everything again: about the children, the pregnant wife, the food, the transportation. · Throughout the conversation, he was arrogant and condescending. It felt like he was not listening, just waiting for us to finish. · We explained that the hotel was fully booked (Chinese New Year, peak season), so letting us leave early would not hurt his business. The rooms would be sold again immediately. · His response was shocking. He looked at us and said, word for word: ”You should not think about my business. It's my concern.” Then, one minute later, when we asked for understanding, he said: ”I have to think about my business.” There is no logic. It felt like he just wanted to show his power and punish us for asking. The result? Nothing changed. Ross Bautista tried, but his hands were tied. Robin Bernard simply confirmed his original decision and showed zero empathy. As long as Mr. Robin Bernard is the General Manager, we will never return to this hotel. His arrogance, empty promises, and complete lack of care for families with children and special dietary needs are destroying the reputation of this Sheraton. To other Muslim families or anyone traveling with young children: I strongly recommend choosing a different hotel. Here, your needs will be ignored if the manager does not feel like helping.

I'm sooo happy to stay here! IMO comparing to the others, its the best! They have all you need in the hotel, but i wish i get the bathtub (ONLY SEAVIEW GETS BATHTUB BTW!)

Hoewel het oud aanvoelde, was het een mooi hotel met een resortgevoel. Al het personeel is beleefd en geweldig. De kamer en bed zijn ruim en goed. De enige nadelen van de doucheruimte zijn dat deze oud is en dat er warm water door de opening in de deur lekt, dat de douchekop moeilijk vast te zetten is en dat de afvoer slecht is. Het ontbijt had veel variatie, ze maakten omeletten, gebakken eieren en roerei voor ons, en het was echt heerlijk op een comfortabele plek. Er zijn restaurants, supermarkten en spa's in de buurt van het hotel, dus het is handig. De roep om driewielers en toertochten is behoorlijk hardnekkig. Hoewel zwemmen niet is toegestaan, is er een klein privéstrand en een prachtig zwembad, dus ik denk dat het een redelijk verblijf was vergeleken met resorthotels in de omgeving.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, cozy, and well‑maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The location was convenient and made it easy to get around. I also appreciated the great amenities and attention to detail. Overall, an excellent experience—I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and great service!

The hotel is nice for an overnight stay after or before your flight. Its old but clean, only the bathtub was dirty and needs to be cleaned. Breakfast was great. Theres a big variety and food is delicious.

Ik verbleef onlangs twee nachten in het Eloisa Royal Suites Hotel. Over het algemeen was de ervaring oké, maar niets bijzonders. Het inchecken verliep soepel en het personeel bij de receptie was beleefd, hoewel niet overdreven vriendelijk. Mijn kamer was schoon en had de basisvoorzieningen zoals een tv, airconditioning en een klein koffiezetapparaat. Het meubilair zag er echter wat gedateerd uit en de matras was te hard naar mijn zin. Een groot nadeel was het lawaai. Het hotel ligt direct aan een drukke weg en het geluid van voorbijrijdende voertuigen – vooral 's nachts – was erg hinderlijk en maakte het moeilijk om te slapen. De ramen leken niet veel van het geluid te blokkeren, wat teleurstellend was. De locatie is gunstig – dicht bij winkels, restaurants en het openbaar vervoer – wat een groot pluspunt was. Ik heb het restaurant van het hotel niet geprobeerd, maar het gratis ontbijt was vrij basic: toast, eieren en koffie. De wifi was gratis, maar 's avonds een beetje traag. Kortom, het is een prima plek om te verblijven als je op zoek bent naar een betaalbare, centraal gelegen accommodatie. Wees echter wel voorbereid op lawaai en beperkt comfort.

I had a hot, uncomfortable disappointed, and we were in utter shocked that the room I booked was not in their system. As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy. My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi. To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark. The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering. Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out. My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner. My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A. I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

What I liked: - clean room - smart TV with internet (YouTube only) access - good aircon - pool available - polite staff What I didn't like: - location - situated in a hard to find off the main road, in little dead end side road - no hot shower - no Netflix login or even browsing option on TV - WIFI password is not given by default - no kettle for hot water - if you ask for a blanket (which is basic) there is a charge - minimal amenity kit (no toothbrush and toothpaste, 1 little soap for 4 days)

Wonderful Stay — Peaceful, Clean, and Budget-Friendly! I stayed here for 7 nights and had a very satisfying experience. The place is quiet and peaceful, which makes it perfect for rest and relaxation. You also have a good sense of privacy during your stay. The hotel is budget-friendly but still very clean and comfortable. The food was very good and staff are all accommodating and friendly, especially Sir Bobby in the kitchen, he’s very kind and always helpful. The housekeeping team also did a great job keeping my room neat and tidy every day. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, clean, and peaceful place to stay.

キッチン用品なども揃っていて不自由なく宿泊できました。少しシャワーの水圧が弱いですが、問題なくシャワーを浴びれます。とても良かったです。
