Hard to get a GrabCar to pick up from Datai but the resort offers their transport (with additional charges) and it’s quite steep. I didn’t really enjoy my stay here especially when the bar has no music.

Nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire au Datai ! Le F&B est tout simplement excellentissime, les mets sont préparés avec amour et les vins sont sélectionnés avec soin (je suis moi-même WSET 3 en vins et en sakés). Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la bouillabaisse revisitée lors de notre dîner d'anniversaire de mariage sur la plage.
Le personnel est en or, le housekeeping rend les vêtements en un temps record. Les serveurs sont aux petits soins et prennent plaisir à faire découvrir les spécificités du coin.
Nous qui sommes d'ordinaire très difficiles en matière de service ne pouvons qu'applaudir la performance !
Que dire des chambres... Elles sont toutes magnifiques ! Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans la rainforest villa avec piscine qui nous a permis de dormir au milieu de la nature avec tout le confort ! L'architecture des villas est très bien pensé.
En un mot : bravo 👏 ! Le Datai est un must sur l'île !

It was absolutely rejuvenating! Staffs was so friendly with warm hospitality.Lastly, all of their foods was delectable especially all of the menus from The Gulai House!Definitely a repeat staycation!So refreshing!I love The Datai!

Excellent resort, probably the best we have stayed. Beach in the front and rainforest at the back. Lost of free activities and excellent food at the hotel. Slightly far from the other Langkawi attractions.

The Datai is ranked the best resort in Langkawi, but personally we still prefer Four Season over the Datai, in terms of the beach, the facilities and the room.
