This is a historic and beautiful hotel. The rooms are beautifully updated, the finishings appropriate to the period. The lobby is gorgeous and welcoming. In the evenings we were in town they had a pianist playing one night, and a piano and bass player on another. It was beautiful and very reminiscent of a time gone by, it reminded me of time spent at the Yellowstone Hotel in Yellowstone Park. Another grand dame hotel of that Era. Just beautiful. We ate at one of their restaurants, The Fenimore, one evening. It was delicious. Just an overall outstanding experience for a very reasonable rate. Why stay at one of the chain hotels and miss the wonderful experience offered at
