Travelodge Glenrothes

Like all Travelodges, we knew what to expect and this one delivered as expected. It's a good base for exploring the Kingdom of Fife which was our plan. The weather didn't make this a particularly enjoyable experience but that wasn't the fault of the Travelodge!

This hotel does what it says on the tin . Basic , no frills , have to pay for wi fi , it’s on the edge of a town with only one restaurant (Chinese buffet ) or McDonald’s to feed you , and I would forget the pre-packed hotel breakfast . You even have to go to your room to use the loo . There is no restaurant facilities . Yet the hotel was spotlessly clean with big comfy bed and pillows , television and good sized towels . And it was quiet . All the staff too numerous to mention names except I remember Shirley , Dean and Ann were friendly and very helpful . As the old saying goes you get what you pay for and I was extremely satisfied with this hotel .

Great location not far from the train station, shops and restaurants. Easy to get into Edinburgh or anywhere else you want to go without paying the high price to stay in the city and much more peaceful surroundings.. Would definitely recommend.

The room/toilet was easy to get round, As a wheelchair user I found that the high of the toilet basin at 15" was way to way low for me and I would guess other wheelchair user's to transfer from a wheelchair to the basin and vice versa this meant I could not use it, Same for the bed at a high of 19" the bed was lower then normal which meant I dropped down from my wheelchair onto the bed and then having to pull myself up onto my wheelchair this meant getting from my wheelchair on and off the bed was very difficult plus the bed was narrow which meant you could easily roll off the bed.

I was looking forward to seeing family and needed somewhere that was reasonably priced and pets were welcome, but also clean rooms are a must. I was very happy here. Thank you so much

Travelodge Glenrothes speaks for itself, if I visit North Edinburugh again, I would stay here or nowhere else. The staff were polite/helpful. I parked my large Van comfortably in the car park. It was peaceful at night, since I had a good nights sleep. Many thanks Travelodge, should really be a 4 star hotel.

Quite possibly one of the worst Travelodge I have stayed in. Thankfully the business paid for my stay as I wouldn’t spend my own money on this hotel. The rooms were outdated and genuinely in poor condition. Cracks up the wall, dirty carpets , taps dripping. The hotel doesn’t even have a restaurant like most Travelodge nowadays do. So you try stuck either ordering in, or scoffing down a McDonald’s across the road . Car park was reasonable size and the staff were friendly but unfortunately the overall quality of the hotel made this review so lowly rated

Staff and the hotel were excellent. It was just a shame as the bed was not very comfortable. Has been used by many single people and has caused the mattress to sink in the middle, making for very uncomfortable nights sleep for a couple as constantly falling into the middle of bed. Unfortunately, not many amenities are close by other than a McDonald's, which was used by boy racers as a meeting point at night. Which is not the fault of hotel.

Room was to my satisfaction however, the ceilings/ floors are very thin and noise travels very easily. Didn’t manage to get much sleep due to other guests in the room above making loud noises moving about and through their TV all hours of the night and morning
