When booking online they send blank confirmation emails. I had to call them many times, waited on hold for 45min plus each time, and had difficulty getting information from their staff whenever we did connect. Admittedly, their phone operator spoke very little English and my French is mediocre, although passable enough to communicate that I want to book a room, confirm it, or cancel it. The confirmation emails they sent after the phone calls were also blank. When I arrived for my first booking there was nobody at the resort. Like the horror movie The Shining. Nobody at all. I found a note in french, not simple french, but detailed instructions which would not be easily translated for someone who hasn't studied the language (which I did when I was younger). The note instructed me where to go to find a key, and which wing of the hotel my room was in. The room was clean, but it was still creepy being in a big, semi-lit, hotel in the countryside totally alone. We had a booking to return and stay at the hotel 4 days later. We decided it was creepy and did not want to come back so we called (again, nobody was at the hotel to manage our reservations) and canceled the booking. We thought it went relatively smoothly, but then Maison de Vebron charged my Visa, at a rate that was 33% higher, and they continue to keep me on hold or ask me to call them back instead of giving me the refund. Staying here was just a huge headache. It was our only bad experience in 10 days in Quebec. All of the other camping, auberges, and hotels were easy to book with and visit. It may be a fine hotel if you come during the busy season and speak french fluently. If you want to be confident that your reservation is confirmed, or receive any kind of human service whatsoever, then you should not book here.
