The room was amazing and clean, loved the sauna and the balcony view. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful and breakfast was delicious!
A bit hard to get there if you don’t have a car when the gondola is not working.

Nice stay near Valtavara hiking trail. On first floor restaurant with tasty cuisine. Sure return this quite place. Thanks for perfect time in Ruka, kitos ! :)

Prima kamer met kleine sauna met veelal uitzicht op de ski-piste. Wij hadden geen last van de drukte. Ski-piste is van 09.30 - 23.00 uur open. Wel erg jammer dat er op de kamer 1 redelijke stoel staat en 1 verschrikkelijke waardoor een van ons 2 op het bed moest zitten/liggen om te lezen. Beetje jammer en ook bij navraag was er in dit grote hotel geen stoel over. Op onze laatste dag was er een grote groep Duitsers en het viel ons op dat het aanbod van het ontbijt veel groter was dan op de andere dag. Dit ontbijt was prima hoor!

Review RukaValley Hotel Appartement Wij hebben van 11-18 feb. 2023 in Ruka Valley gezeten. Prima, vrij nieuw hotel vlak voor de piste en gondel. Wij hadden zeer goede bedden. Prima ontbijt en ook a la carte diner is erg goed. Voor het huren van ski's kun je zo op je sloffen binnendoor naar de shop. Oh ja, de Luxaflex kan gewoon omhoog, even het dopje eraf trekken. Ook een kleine supermarkt naast de ingang is ook niet verkeerd. Ski Bistro zijn wij niet geweest. Pizzeria Gufo is 4 dgn in de week open en let goed op de openingstijden. Vuosselin Pirtti in onze week gesloten. Mooi prepareerde pistes, wij hadden een zonnetje tijdens het skiën, dus dat was top. Ook stoeltjeslift vlakbij hotel. 50% korting op de gondel bij het hotel. 2dgn ging de gondel niet vanwege de harde wind. Dan kun niet even naar het centrum, lopend is dat ca. 1.25 tot 1.5uur. De laatste bus terug uit het centrum gaat om 19.00uur, dat is wel een minnetje als de gondel niet gaat. Taxi terug kan natuurlijk altijd. Prachtige rondwandeling naar Valtavaara vlakbij hotel. Wij hebben met bergschoenen en stokken gelopen, 1e stuk is wat stijl of huur sneeuwschoenen. Worstjes mee, om in de Kota op te warmen! Ook in de avond lopen naar Ruka Peak hotel/restaurant is leuk, vooral de omgeving bij de Peak is prachtig. Langs hoofdweg en dan naar rechts, is verlicht (ca. 1uur heen). Ook de georganiseerde wandeltocht waterval Oulanka Park is een aanrader. Er was ook een avond sleetjes glijden vanaf de top, leuk met een de kids of een groep. Fijne vakantie!

We had a brilliant stay at the Ruka Valley Apartments with Crystal Holidays! We stayed in a family studio which was an ideal size for a family of 4 and had everything we needed for our self catering holiday. We loved being so close to the slopes and having our own ski locker outside the door. We also found the drying cabinet really handy too. The accommodation is finished to a really lovely standard, the beds were very comfy and we loved having our own sauna to warm up after a long days skiing! The staff were very friendly and helped us book taxis for our trip to Lammintupa Winter Village where we did husky sledging and snow mobiles for the children. Ruka Valley was much quieter than the village side which we really liked but it's easy enough to hop on the Gondola to visit Ruka Village where there are lots more bars and restaurants and a bigger grocery shop. There is a shop on the valley side which stocked most things you would need but there was a little more choice in the village shop. Ruka Valley is ideal for families and beginners as it is located by the nursery slope and the family park. We had two lovely meals in the Camp Kitchen and Bar which is within the same building. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! We fell in love with Ruka Valley and would love to return again soon for another amazing holiday in a winter wonderland!

The hotel/apartments were great, amazing location, fully equipped apartment... The only downside was the food, we stayed half board so had breakfast in the Colorado bar, the selection was very limited and they only had one 2 slice toaster which was very frustrating. The staff were also rude and very unhelpful. Dinner was in the piste restaurant, staff were very friendly and there was a kids play area which was great. However the food selection was very poor: 2 meat options, one veg and one potato and the only drinks available were water and coffee. Each meal worked out at £26 per person per night, it was definitely not worth that when you can buy a large pizza over the road for £14! We have already booked again for next year but this time self-catering!

Started our 7 night stay in Ruka valley apartments on Christmas Eve 2023 . Didn’t start well as we didn’t seem to have a bed for our ten year old . We were told it’s under the other two singles that were made up . We revisited the room and found a mattress on small caster wheels . We were then told that’s it and no one was going to make it up or help in anyway like where to put it as space was a little limited . As the title suggests the answer so far has been no . We requested extra pillows and was refused , later in the week we asked for towels again the answer is “no” . Seems Pinja only knows “no” as an answer to any of our requests. I have asked to speak to the manager tonight but that was also a “no “ as it was 945pm . No regard for trying to keep a family happy at the reception . So far the food has been a buffet every night and has changed the main offering each night . Wine starts at 12€ a glass of wine. Obviously Finland is very expensive and you can buy a bottle for 90€ for only a half decent drop . Tonight food was chicken tikka. Which was very nice but it ran out twice halfway through service . I did manage to get fed but only just tonight . Last night was. Meat balls and mash . Gala dinner was meats and mashed carrot or mashed turnip .

Lovely apartment and very good restaurant downstairs, parking free, wifi a bit hit and miss but got replacement modem from reception, then fine. Friendly staff and good ski lockers for each apartment. Very much recommended. We could even see northern lights from parking lot.

Absolutely Fabulous! We booked half board with Crystal Ski and had a very comfortable studio apartment which more than suited our needs. Small kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, washing up liquid, kitchen towel, dishcloths tea towels, and a small amount of tea, milk, sugar, & instant coffee. Sauna was great and used daily! Bathroom had hand soap dispenser and a shower body wash dispenser, hairdryer & towels. The apartment was very clean, warm and homely it also a great drying cupboard. TV was good but not a smart TV so very limited channels. There’s a great laundry room on floor 4 free to use and Small shop on the ground floor. Half board was taken on ground floor in The Camp Kitchen restaurant, breakfast was buffet style, scrambled & bold eggs, mini hotdogs sausages, hams, cheese melon, yogurt, fruit compote, cereals, pancakes, porridge, breads, tea, coffee & juice. Evening meal was a set menu. The lovely friendly staff were happy to adapt things a little when asked. The Ski lockers are just outside the building so nice and easy. We very much enjoyed our stay at Ski- Inn Ruka and the ski resort was perfect for us as mix of beginners intermediate and advanced skiers snowboarder. We will definitely return again soon. ❤️🇫🇮
