We were supposed to stay her for two nights but added another to our itinerary. It's a relaxing and beautiful place for families and friends. The rooms are clean and spacious. Housecleaning is also calling to check if anything is needed . The restaurant has a variety of foods from around the world. The onsite spa has reasonably priced packages and the turtle sanctuary has many sea life to look at.

5 Star hotel in the middle of kosgoda to chill and relax, but don't expect much options in the immediate vicinity

A beautiful hotel and amazing views. We were able to enjoy a relaxing stay in this lovely hotel and explore swimming in the ocean.

Плюсы отеля - очень неплохой завтрак, ужин. Шведский стол. Очень изобильный. Есть и морепродукты , и местная кухня. Очень вкусно.
Также хочется отметить традиционное для сети Марриот качество постели. Спалось на нем прекрасно.
Пляж в этом месте отличный. Можно спокойно купаться - волны не такие сильные. Всё очень живописно , если пройти налево и направо.
Теперь о недостатках. К сожалению, их больше. Персонал очень не вежлив, чувствовалось, что тебе здесь не рады, делают одолжение. Наигранные улыбки. В день выезда чуть позже 12 на несколько минут персонал стал стучаться в дверь и требовать освободить номер. Разве это достойно такой сети отелей ?
Когда попытался расплатиться на ресепшн картой Юнион Пэй, персонал сказал, что терминал для российских карт не работает. Хотя, в других местах и отелях на Шри-Ланке всё работало без проблем и удавалось оплатить везде. Такое поведение я объясняю неклиенториентированностью, что опять же, очень странно для отеля такой сети, как Марриот и для сервиса.
Также я хочу отметить, что в этом отеле не оказалось ортопедических подушек или любых других подушек - при попытке узнать про эту возможность, мне грубо ответили , что других подушек нет и всё. В общем, за персонал, сервис и его отношение - жирный минус и плохая оценка

Na onze rondreis hebben we hier met het gezin nog 5 nachten waarvan 4 dagen all-inclusive verbleven. Mooie, nette kamers met een prachtig zijdelings zicht op de oceaan. Enig minpunt: op de kamer bij de kinderen was er steeds een schimmelgeur aanwezig, die niet wegging. We hebben dit gemeld maar een oplossing is er niet voor gekomen. In het restaurant was er een ruime keuze. Voor de lunch aten we à la carte aangezien er minder mensen aanwezig waren. Trouwens steeds heel lekker. Iedereen was wel heel vriendelijk en gedienstig. Altijd fijn om een praatje te maken met de poolboys (Nadeka, …) en het personeel aan de poolbar. Misschien een klein minpuntje te vermelden bij het ‘all inclusive’ gegeven: jammer dat niet alle ‘fresh juices’ beschikbaar waren die op de kaart vermeld waren. Of dan uiteindelijk toch betalend waren. Bizar. Het enige wat ons wel stoorde waren de mannen die elke dag opnieuw van 8u. ‘smorgens tot 19u. ‘s avonds op de loer stonden aan het hek om naar het strand te gaan om je aan te klampen voor tuk tuk-rit, bezoek aan woodcarving/silkstore/turtlehatchery,… Zelfs al gaven we aan dat we niet geïnteresseerd waren en dat we reeds een rondreis gedaan hadden, bleven ze ons lastig vallen. Het hield ons tegen om naar het strand te gaan voor een wandeling of duik in de oceaan! Zij schrikken écht de toeristen af, wat niet de bedoeling kan zijn.

Lovely hotel on the beach and great choice of food . Make sure you go onto the beach and look for Kumar . He was fantastic in arranging trips for us . We went on a river cruise /whale watching trip /train ride including nine arches bridge and a fantastic safari . He was absolutely great and arranged everything at great prices for us . He made our holiday and would 100% recommend him . So honest and showed us local places we would have missed .A beautiful beach and country to visit .

Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

I would like to leave a review about our week trip to Sri-Lanka. My boyfriend and I stayed at Sheraton Kosgoda hotel from 21.01.24 till 28.01.24. The level of service in the hotel is high. We both appreciate everything here: beach, food, staff (is especially friendly), location. I am also grateful to Danish, a friendly guy from Dream Tours. He took us everywhere we wanted and showed the local sights, explained everything. He made our vacation memorable and comfortable. He pleased us with some extra discounts (for example, in Aurverdha center, in front of hotel). I highly recommend him as a reliable local guide. Thank you a lot ❤️
