Grecotel Casa Paradiso

This year was our 3rd time in the resort as a family with young kids and extended family members. In our opinion it is a very well balanced resort for us. Not too fancy, but very comfortable, spacious, clean, well maintained, with enough activities to go around whole day with the kids. It also nice to see the improvements and changes, such as brand pool looks, upgraded bathroom near the main bar, kids area, and home grown veggies. Staff always there and approachable, excellent food variety, all fresh, and tasty. Sea is warmer on this side of the island, which makes you enjoy it more than on the other side. Wifi is not covering 100% of the area, but I am sure it will get better. Covered areas have stable connection and sufficient bandwidth. PS - Someone wrote here that he/she was waiting for toast for 20 minutes. :-D I have no idea how that could have happened as toast machine is self service and takes minute (was doing toasts to kids). PS2 - Really appreciated staffs help with arranging logistics around getting medicine for our kid that got sick. VERDICT - Looking forward coming again!

Bonjour Nous y sommes pour le moment, vraiment rien a dire sur cet hôtel. Il est vraiment sympa, le personnel très à l'écoute et très serviable. Tout est propre, la nourriture n'en parlons pas un délice varié et frais, en ce qui concerne les femmes de chambre, rien à dire non plus, elles sont aussi a l'écoute,notre chambre était toujours nickel après leur et le moindre problème, aussitôt dit, aussitôt réglé. Je recommande cet hôtel sans problème. Martial

Great holiday from start to finish. We stayed in a family bungalow (472) which was spacious, clean and had air con. The main restaurant was lovely, lots of choice and something for everyone. My youngest especially liked the morning cheesecake!! Pool bar was also great, we loved an afternoon crepe and cocktail. My only negative was how slippy and lack of drainage round the pool, myself and my kids slipped over. Maybe also hooks on the umbrellas for bags due to the excess surface water? It's expected to be wet but it seemed to be a lot. All in all, we would definitely come back.

Byłem w maju, w hotelu przebywało około 200 osób, maksymalna pojemność to 860 osób. Moim zdaniem w sezonie będzie ciężko o leżaki np. przy basenie. Hotel był zamknięty przez ostatnie dwa lata, przyjechałem do niego w pierwszym dniu jego pracy. Dopiero teraz rozpoczęto nasadzenia zieleni i drobne prace na zewnątrz. Nieznaczna część pokoi w bungalowach została wyremontowana, w budynku głównym wszystkie pokoje są po remoncie, przynajmniej tak twierdziła obsługa. Pokoje sprzątane codziennie. Jedzenie bardzo dobre, zawsze coś można smacznego znaleźć, no może poza mięsami z grilla, zawsze były słabo doprawione i wysuszone, na śniadania praktycznie zawsze to samo, ale bardzo duży wybór. Przekąski podawane w barze przy basenie to kanapki i naleśniki z farszem. Bardzo dobra kawa ze świeżo mielonych ziaren - kilka automatów na terenie hotelu. Napoje oryginalne Coca Coli z automatów. Do obiadu i kolacji kelner podaje butelkę wina, małą lub dużą - czerwone, białe, lub różowe. Świetny wybór alkoholi w tym importowane - od wódki Absolut, przez Prosecco po Johnie Walker. Kapitalna obsługa, zawsze uśmiechnięta i pomocna. Bardzo szybko przygotowywane stoły do posiłków, kapitalni barmani, którzy bez mrugnięcia okiem przygotują Twój ulubiony drink, czy napełnią pusty kieliszek Metaxą.

Beautiful location, nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was great. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was always good. The only negative thing was that they had no toilets close to the pool. Only by the reception or in your own room. The gardeners also grow vegetables on the hotel compound which I find very cool and an excellent idea Overall we enjoyed our stay and I'll recommend this hotel to all our friends 😊

There are many 5* reviews which is why we took the chance but in our opinion it's no where near the standards of the of the other Grecotels that we've been to. Yes , we are a mature couple and this is a FAMILY hotel with lots of young children and babies, repetitive food and very poor entertainment. The only positive is the beach location, the short bus ride to both KOS and the airport plus you get branded drinks. On Arrival: Allocated a room on the ground floor overlooking the dining area, bottle banks and delivery area. Requested room change but was informed that the Manager was not on site nor was reservations. Next day enquired about room change but was told that Manager was still not available and reservations do not know when an alternative room will be available. l On day two enquired again after lunch but reception had no update so we unpacked our suitcases to avoid further disruption to our seven day holiday Breakfast: Spent 20 minutes waiting for toast in the ‘one and only’ toaster and returned to our table with two coffees and two full glasses of orange juice, we left t these while we went back to collect our breakfast. On our return the table had been cleared. I was not happy and complained to the F&B Manager who I believe informed his staff. HOWEVER we noticed a number of very annoyed guests during the week who had the same problem. Toilets: Where are they ? One toilet ,two floors down from the reception and one behind the beach bar. These toilets serve the WHOLE hotel guest an are approx. 200m apart !! During the day this was totally unacceptable while on the complex. The only two toilets were always full or people queuing. Most of the time they were closed for cleaning ! Entertainment: Absolutely appalling., No evening entertainment for adults other than Bingo and one night was two people playing darts and then two people playing ping-pong. We missed one evening show because it was outside of the building in the Kids club.NO one told us and there are no notice boards on the complex other than one in the TUI kids club The second show we left early because the ‘limited available drinks’ cups were covered in ants Evening Bar area: No one at this hotel knows what or if there will be evening entertainment so as a mature couple we chose to stay around the bar area by the pool. The atmosphere was terrible, with no music on one night and most of the outside lights turned of. At 9 o’clock in the evening we were sitting in the dark so I complained to reception who turned on some of the outside wall lights. We were so bored that the next night we played cards in the pool bar area . The F&B Manager walked passed us and two other families playing cards, walked inside and turned ALL of the lights off at 9:45 in the evening. Food: My comment about food can be seen many times in the TRIP ADVISOR reviews, Same basic grilled food every night with NO fresh sea food other than deep fried frozen options.
