Lagas Aegean Village

We ended up here as love holidays informed us our hotel was no longer available 4 weeks before travel. The pictures and reviews sounded great and we knew the area as stayed two hotels down in 2017. We didn’t intend to stay on site as that was not the holiday we wanted but had paid an extra £400 to upgrade to this hotel so gave it a go. It was nice but not good enough to keep us there. We had 2 breakfasts on site and one evening meal along with one pool bar visit for a cardboard toastie! The snack bar was really poor the day I went but other days they had a BBQ and it looked good. We went for 5 nights in July, the heat reached 37 degrees and we were struggling with this, the news said they were in a heat wave! We had air con in the room which was amazing but only pointed at one side of the bed, I had this side each night. The main reception and large hall to sit in was lacking in air con and we just felt uncomfortable the moment we were dressed. We had a late check out so given a key to a shower room by the pool, again, no air con in the room or hallway so after a cold shower and getting dressed I was wet through, feeling the shower was pointless. You could not have dried your hair in that small room even though it had one. The hotel is stunning, beech very close and we didn’t pay for loungers which I’ve read on here. Pool was quiet and lovely, we spent each day here before going out on an evening. There was no charge for using the late check out room even though it said there was. It is a 15minute walk to town but it’s a stunning walk. €7 for a taxi which we did once as I was so hot and tired I just couldn’t face the walk back on our last day. The comment on here about staff from other guests I agree with. We’ve been coming to Kos since 2013 and this was the first time locals made us feel unwelcome and a burden. I was shocked as it wasn’t just the hotel it was the same in town in many places. Some people got very worm welcomes and smiles and other were ignored or given bare minimum service. It was weird and sadly made us not want to visit the island again. In the hotel we had no bad experience just lack of friendly welcoming service. Bar staff ignoring me at the pool bar and chatting to each other but then doing table service with smiles to other customers. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, nothing further to say but they did their job. The restaurant staff were again doing their job but I agree with the odd feeling people say they got. Cleaners were lovely and very sweet. It is a lovely hotel, keeps you fit walking the hills and prices are as expected for water and other items, they are not expensive we pay more in the UK so I don’t agree with moaning about these things, they are trying to recover after Covid. If I’d booked this as my first choice hoping to stay on site I’d have been slightly disappointed based on the overall price but made the most of it. Love this hotel it’s immaculate from The cleaning to the food staff are all lovely and very helpful . We visit every year best hotel in kardamana can’t wait to be back this June In this lovely hotel well done Angela and all the staff You all do an amazing job

I have been several times to this hotel, this year May & October. It’s really relaxing, stress free and in a lovely area. This year they had the poolside bar open with entertainment which was a bonus, this means you can drink at the hotel, instead of going into town which is a 25 minute walk.

Earliest photos of me here are from 1997 and all the way forward to 2023 I'm still coming! Absolutely fantastic hotel in all aspects of the place itself, the staff especially, the food, facilities and entertainment. Honestly can't praise it enough. Definately back in October this year and definately in May 2024. Thank you!

We have just returned from a 11 night holiday H/B at the Aegean Village, Kardemena, Kos. A email to the reception team prior to the visit secured us a lower level room which was perfect for us. The terrace room was clean and peaceful with black out curtains and comfortable beds/pillows. There was a handy fridge and kettle too. Room 131 was cleaned daily by a friendly, smiling, blonde lady chambermaid. The food was delicious greek fare so there was always something to enjoy. The staff work hard especially in the restaurant in the evenings coping with high volumes of guests, some of who at times stormed them as the doors opened at 6.30 pm. Rather bizare guest behaviour we thought. The staff took in all in their stride never appearing to be overwhelmed. Always polite and friendly. The only bug bare we did have is, the waiter always seemed dismissive if we did not order from the wine list. We bought the over priced water every night. We dined in the Snack Bar at lunch times and spent plenty of cash in the hotel generally. Would we visit again? Yes we would and reccommend this hotel to family and friends who are searching for true rest, relaxation and recooperation.

We went for a 4night 25-29 sept , we are repeat guests normally in July but this time went later , the hotel had a relaxed feel about it and the food was really good, the pool area is huge plenty of sun beds at all time , a large beer in the bars was 4.6 euros , we had low level rooms 172-173-174 which were great the higher you go the views were spectacular , the staff in the hotel were really friendly and welcomed us , if you want a relaxing hotel this is the one will go back loved it

Just come back from here average hotel..and if you like steps you going to need it cos you have to get down a thousand steps to get to the hotel from your room..there mini bus to take u back up wish u need...staff great but watch for the owner he sits in the snack bar watching everyone sat with is walkie talkie so intimerdating...then after that he sits at the top bar watching again . This is everyday. Let your staff do there jobs instead of watching there every move....is son to in the restaurant is the same intimerdating is staff so rude entertainment was good....young lad served us everyday he was great

We stayed here as a family in late July, good points - clean hotel and rooms we were placed onto the bottom floor with a baby very much appreciated as going up the hill in the heat with a pram would not of been pleasant- pool area lovely easy to get beds later in the day, the play room for kids was great also with the heat, fantastic views and a clean beach, walk is not to far into town 20-25 mins, -cleaning staff are lovely, bad points - travel company did not inform us of dress code for men in the evening my partner had to borrow trousers or not eat, very repetitive menu, not catered for english even slightly i would of killed for a piece of toast, play room not on enough in the day for kids, other than this we did enjoy the stay.

Lovely quiet hotel with amazing sea view. Staff and management were faultless polite and helpful. Room was very spacious and cleaned daily. Breakfast and dinner lots of choices and delicious. Highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book again. Great for walking, cycling on hired mountain bikes or just chilling around the pool or on the beach directly in front of the hotel.
