The Lodge

Excellent hotel, actually bungalows. We were in a "deluxe" bungalow. Beautiful, well maintained garden. However, compared to many other hotels in Bohput, Koh Samui, there's no view on the beach. They have no breakfast.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf van drie weken gehad in deze prachtige lodge! De kamer was schoon, dagelijks schoongemaakt en comfortabel, en lag op slechts een steenworp afstand van de zee, wat een echt vredige sfeer uitstraalde. Het personeel en June waren ongelooflijk vriendelijk en gastvrij, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. Nadat we verschillende restaurants in de omgeving hadden geprobeerd, vonden we het restaurant van het hotel het beste, met heerlijke maaltijden tegen redelijke prijzen. Bedankt aan iedereen voor het ontspannende verblijf. We komen zeker terug!

Very disappointed with this hotel outside our window was view of an old tin roof and a big tree on the other side no kettle didn’t stay long enough for the tiny breakfast ,had to stay the night being as it was so late but left asap bed was comfy never felt right from minute one

We were staying across the road from the Lodge and needed breakfast every day.Life doesnt get started in Bophut until after 10am and your choices of places to go for breakfast are slim.We ate here a couple of times and had the whole place to ourselves.Great breakfast food and even did a special order for me.Lovely view of the beach and has accomodation as well.Didnt do any other meals here but very happy with the breakfast.Lovely staff and the manager couldnt have been more welcoming

Amazing drinks and food! Very nice. The service was very good and very tasty prawns. This place is underrated, right on the water -!: you will not regret it. I continue to write as I must write 200 character. I have covered my review above. Come here and enjoy!

A great little hotel in the heart of Fisherman’s Village with its own beach front. Well appointed rooms and those facing the beach benefit from great views to wake up to in the morning. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and eager to make your stay memorable but I would like to single out Lyn on reception for a special mention.

As soon as I arrived at The Lodge, I saw that it is far from being a 4-star hotel. We used some extremely steep and narrow stairs to carry our luggage up to the 3rd floor. The room was not clean enough, we cleaned it, and there was loud music from a beach bar in the room. We asked the manager about the noise and he assured us that it would be quiet after 10-11 p.m. But in the evening I could not sleep easily because of the noise. Breakfast is a joke, I said we don't go out for a transparent coffee, a croissant and a slice of toast with jam... In the evening, of course, unbearable loud music.... we didn't sleep at all, and at 24:30 we tried to tell the people at the bar to turn the music down! But they had a private party... the second sleepless night. I looked for another hotel, I found it with difficulty a day later, and I announced at the hotel that I was leaving, having one more night to endure, the third.

The service at the Lodge is beyond outstanding. Each time we have asked for anything it has been graciously given. First, prior to our arrival, I requested a room with an unobstructed balcony view. We were thrilled that our request was granted. The rooms are all oceanfront with no obstructed view, but I believe our room was hand-picked for us. Secondly, our balcony had hard back chairs so we asked the manager if we could buy them and leave them on the balcony. Immediately, he took us to their storage found chairs that were great for us. He even put similar chairs on the beach to add to the lounge chairs that were already there. He also noticed we woke up early and offered an electric kettle so we can make coffee before the restaurant opens. The breakfast, a huge western breakfast, is superb. The first morning, the bacon was not as cooked as we liked, and although we didn't say anything, when the manager came to greet us at breakfast he saw that we had not eaten our bacon. He asked if it was to our liking and we said we liked it crispy. Each morning since that time, the bacon has been perfect! For those who have read that the Bophut beach is not as desirable as others on Koh Samui, please trust us. The water and beach were extremely clean and very swimmable. My husband and I were in the sea several times a day and loved the warm water. Although it was not crowded, there were many, many people swimming everyday and night! The hostel itself is great. The bathroom is not as modern as we are used to, but it is clean and certainly functional. The room is small, but when you lie down in bed, you look straight out to the French doors to the Sea of Thailand. The floors are beautiful, hardwoods polished to a perfect shine. On the other side of the room is the door going out to the renowned Fisherman's Village and just steps from a plethora of restaurants from 5-star to take-out. We will definitely stay here again! We felt like we took a chance and our experience has been nothing but 5-star.
