Phool Mahal Palace has the massive Fort of Kishangarh as its backdrop and is washed by the monsoon fed Gundalao Lake in front, an architectural setting very rarely seen in Rajput history. Dry and drab though it may seem in the summer, the first magic showers transform it into a serene and smiling land. Originally the Payandaz Bagh or the garden at the foot of the fort, this pleasure garden of the Maharajas of Kishangarh was a source of inspiration to a number of famous Kishangarh miniature artists like Nihal Chand and it's easy to identify it in many paintings of the 17th century. It is a very old property adjoining a natural lake with great view. They have renovated the property well but requires more renovation. Food is good. Service is good. However, as the number of guests are less, we need to order in advance.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

This Hotel COULD be great - but as it is at the moment it is shabby chic Indian - rooms are very hit and miss - with some having been renovated but others not. Food was not great - kitchen a long way from the dining room. The geysers for the hot water in the rooms were mainly on the outside of the rooms - UNUSUAL - which meant I had NO hot water for my shower in the morning. The best thing about this hotel was Kishol - the duty manager - who gave us all a wonderful private guided tour of the Kishangarh Fort.

The food was bad. The service poor. The blanket covers were dirty and we had to get them changed. The location was great.

All experiences were good. The staff and services in phool mahal palace must be more professional & in systematically operated. Some modern facilities are also required, like- boating in lake, cab service & local site seeing services

We stayed at the Phool Mahal Palace hotel for four nights and had a great time. The hotel feels like an oasis of calm in the busy surroundings. The hotel is located on the lake, in front of the fort. Our room was in the main building, the room was large and clean, with simple but sufficient furniture. We slept very well. Warm water worked fine. We were also given a private tour of the fort by the hotel manager, which was very well explained. Every day we had a good breakfast at the hotel and we also enjoyed some dinners in the dining hall. One of the highlights is the lounge looking out over the lake. If you are staying within the region, we can absolutely recommend staying at the Phool Mahal Palace, we would certainly return!

Phool Mahal Palace is a late Victorian Heritage property set beside a large lake, and in front of a 500 -year-old fort. It is now a small hotel, which also host occasional weddings, etc. The Manager is Mr Kishor, who has worked for the Maharaja for 25 years, and who is a most helpful and pleasant gentleman. We enjoyed our overnight stay here very much, as we stayed in the ground-floor Round Room, overlooking the lake, which is beautifully decorated in Kishangarh style. The hotel boasts an attractive period sitting room, and a modest dining room, providing simple but tasty traditional Indian dinner and breakfast, served professionally by Mr Ashok. Whilst the lake could do with a clean-up, the Palace does afford panoramic view of the Lake Palace opposite, which is particularly lovely at sunset. Our room had A/C and tea and coffee-making facilities. The bed was form which suited me! We were taken on a private tour of the Fort, Byrne Kishor, which is at present only open to hotel guests, and offers a fascinating insight into former glories and the The workings of the fort in days-gone-by. Behind the fort lies Old Kishangarh Town, which is a friendly place for a wander, though it seems to close up quite early - try to go before sunset or mid-morning.

This charming, character-filled palace steeped in history sits on a small lake with beautiful views. Easy walking to old Kishangarh and several nearby temples. The rooms are very spacious with great views of the lake. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
