給我們的房間配了一個户外大陽台，朋友的房間雖然沒有陽台配了一個會客廳，比普通標間舒服很多，酒店前台很熱心，幫我們預約了去國家公園的司機，去的時候通過郵件預約接機的服務也很好，早餐自助很豐盛，晚餐我點了烤豬排，相當美味，小費包含在餐費中。美中不足的是回程預約了酒店到機場的車後司機問我們要了60刀，而前台之前跟我們説衹要35刀。

Wij (mijn dochter en twee kleindochters en ik) kwamen in Serena aan met een meisje van 11 dat in een vorig hotel een gastro-enteritis had opgelopen. Antibiotica brachten niet onmiddellijk soelaas. Mevrouw Rhoda (wellness en fitness) bracht ons in contact met de verpleger verbonden aan het hotel, de Heer Theobald. Hij heeft de zieke, en dus ons allemaal, geweldig goed geholpen : ging zelf voor ons naar de apotheek, hielp haar opnieuw wat te "leren" eten, enz. Hij liet ook een goede arts komen, werkelijk een grote geruststelling voor ons en Maria Laura. Het Serena hotel heeft geen publiciteit nodig : iedereen weet dat het mooi is, hygiënisch, dat het lekker eten aanbiedt en dat het personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam is. Als we weer in Kigali komen : recht naar het Serena hotel ! Heel hartelijk dank aan alle personeelsleden ! Margaretha Loddewijkx

It's always a treat to stay at the splendid Kigali Serena Hotel. I loved my interactions with all the staff there. Precious, the smiling breakfast chef, made me a fabulous omelette. At lunchtime, she enjoyed introducing me to various African foods that I wasn't familiar with. Rhoda, Sandra and Ines pampered me back to life in the Serena Hotel's Maisha Spa after a long overnight flight. Everyone commented how happy and relaxed I looked after my two night stay (and 4 hours of massages!) If you want company / or directions on a morning run, call reception the night before: Karim from the Maisha Spa gym met me and three other guests at 6.30am for an hour's run around Kigali before breakfast. You'll need it - the breakfast spread is vast! It's hard to resist the superb croissants, 6+ types of fresh juice, and of course the hot dishes.

Wonderful stay. The rooms were very beautiful and spacious. The bathroom has very good amenities and the hotel pays attention to the environment. The bed was so comfortable and many services are available such as room service, etc. Wifi is perfect, no issues. The hotel has a very nice swimming, pool, spa, Gym, etc. The breakfast was exceptional, with wonderful, good, fresh fruit, and everything you wanted. I also booked a massage at the spa, which was perfect. The prices are also good. The spa reservation was punctual and very good and relaxing. The amenities were well maintained.

The Lady at the reception was so arrogant and unpleasant that I told her she was so and that I would be looking for a room in another hotel before leaving. Additionally, when I presented her with my Platinum Prestige Club card she didn't even seem to know what it was. When you have spent enough in the Serena hotels to accumulate some 75,000 bonus points, it's quite a disappointment.

The Serena is an excellent hotel that lives up to the five star expectation (also comparing internationally). Friendly staff providing great services … although not smiling a lot. The pool area is an oasis in the busy city centre. Food in the restaurants is great though a little pricey conpared to other hotels - not compared to European standards though. There a Serena approved taxi’s always waiting that can bring you to the city or to the airport (35 USD for an airport transfer).

Hotel certainly didn’t feel like a 5 star property. Rooms were fine but could have been a little cleaner. There just wasn’t anything special with the accommodations. Service was strangely off putting - no warmth and transactional. And the restaurants were not good at all. We ate three meals at the main hotel restaurant - only offered buffet of very middling quality. Sense is that the nearby Marriott has much better food options

Elegant, new, comfortable, very clean, well managed. Breakfast was very, very good. Quiet and accommodating staff. Room service, perfect. Downtown location, beautiful swimming pool. Modern, sleek and secure. The staff was the best. You cant wrong for this one.

We attended a meeting at the hotel and stayed for a week. We had a very positive experience. The rooms were comfortable and well stocked. The staff were all helpful and courteous. There are a number of food options in the hotel and there are good restaurants within a safe 15 minute walk
