First Impression was that this was a peacefull location, the Owner (I am assuming) Sophie checked us in and was so nice and welcoming. She had reccomondations for dining, and we were very happy with the choice. I just wish we had been able to stay longer than 1 night.
Morning Continental breakfast was enough to get us through the day, and even though it was a rainy cool day, there was an outside eating area that was covered and warm enough to sit there instead of taking back to our room.

Beautiful property. Love the history behind it. Our bed was too firm and caused a backache, that would be our only complaint.

This was a delightful place to stay. Difficult in that the rooms were up a stairway and my husband has knee problems but we enjoyed the stay and would return there

Room was clean and nicely appointed. Bed was very comfortable.
For a small hotel the continental breakfast was great, offering cereals, breads/muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and fresh fruit

This place is a real GEM. It is immaculately maintained, very clean and a great value. You can tell when you drive up that they take great pride in their Lodge and it shows everywhere. It is not a 5 star place, but it is much nicer than you would think for the price. Would stay here again!

Beautiful property, check-in was easy, and the gentleman at the desk was wonderful, he gave us all kinds of history and excellent information.
