Savoy Westend Hotel

The hotel was super! Very friendly employees, an excellent pool where my son had a lot of fun, and very good and surprising food in the restaurant! I can 100% recommend this place!

Rooms were great! But not worthy of 5 star hotel yet because of hotel receptionist service which wasn’t as friendly and housekeeping was so slow. Needed to call again to chase them for a body conditioner. Facitilies were great. Thai massage was very good. Bar and restaurant staffs were good too.

Man muss sagen, das Hotel hat ganz tolle Bilder. Tatsächlich ist alles ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen, der Teppich im Zimmer grenzwertig. Die Kosten für ein Frühstück von 27 € p.P. sind absolut überteuert, so ein normales Frühstück gibt es in jeden anderen Hotel auch.

Well, very good hotel , and very good clinic although there are some bad points but they are trying to prevent it and trying to make everything more better . In my first review i complained about the gloves , mask and hygiene, but they take it under consideration and the management took a serious action immediately. Food is good , nutrition ingret is very very good , the doctor Dr.lidslave is very good , the physio therapist is the best actually he treats my back . All the ppl are very very friendly . Yes its little far from the mineral water fall , but in general everything is good , rooms are specious, vie from the room is good , yes they have problem with English language, and after i complained about the sheets they change bed sheet everyday and they are doing there best. In my point of view its high end 4 star hotel , with a little twist the will reach the 5 star

Very bad experience, absolutely not a 5 star hotel , the hygiene in the clinic is zero , when they do the blood test the nurse hold the needle without gloves and without mask !! The clinic doesn’t offer disposable underwear during the clinic sessions , also they suffer from shortage of staff , the hotel buffet is veereeery small , not a 5 star buffet . Not changing the bed sheets everyday, towels of bathrooms also , they withdraw the whole booking amount on arrival not like other hotels which they block the amount in your credit card and when you leave they charge . The location is very far from the miniral water where we should go three times each day to drink before each meal and , not suitable for old ppl and Many many other things which made my stay doesn’t fit the huge amount i have paid. NOT a 5 stars Hotel . Not recommended at all

Our family decided to add a last-minute visit to Karlovy Vary to our Chris**as vacation and had a wonderful time at the Savoy Westend. The buffet was delicious, particularly the breakfast and fruits. The Chris**as Dinner was reasonably priced for a resort and had a fantastic range of traditional dishes. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, huge windows and views, and a very nice bathroom. There was plenty of room for the second bed (twin) added to the room for our group of 3. The hotel is a short walk down the hill to the city center; absolutely worth the walk to see more of the architecture, visit the spring locations, and check out the shops. We had no language barrier issues in town or at the hotel. We booked directly through the hotel website and received a complimentary upgrade to a "Deluxe with Balcony" room with views of the Cathedral as well as parking and a spa trea**ent for each of us. Overall the property was a luxurious way to close out our vacation. Things to note: 1. They are currently accepting only cash or bank transfer from a Czech account. This is clearly stated on their website and at check-in, the nearest A** is a 25 minute walk (round trip) and did not seem to have a withdrawal limit. 2. The hotel complex is several buildings. We stayed in the Kleopatra building which meant a short walk across the courtyard to breakfast and spas, or a slightly longer walk through the enclosed paths when the weather is poor. Changing in the pool/spa locker rooms felt better than making the walk in a robe. 3. During our stay they had maintenance issues on one of the primary elevators. The staff was very apologetic but they were unable to fix it on the 24th/25th (understandable). This meant there was not a direct access from the Spa back to our Room for part of our stay. I don't think this is worth reducing the rating, but could be a big frustration to some.

Do not do this to yourself! This place is outdated, weird, and uncomfortable. Here is what we did not like: - You can only pay in cash, they are under some sanctions, or mafia or whatever, but they are quite aggressive at the end that you need to pay cash - Rooms are spacious and clean but need major update - sinks are cracked, beds uncomfortable - SPA is very outdated, feels more like hospital, got an overpriced massage that was weird, creepy and in not so clean and comfortable environment - Hotel is kind of dark everywhere, evenings feels really uncomfortable, there is nobody around, not lively at all - Overall, if you want to enjoy Karlovy Vary and be in a nice hotel, have decent SPA experience, and feel like you enjoyed your time there, this is absolutely not the hotel to go!

My experience at this hotel was bad. To start with: 1. Hotel credit card machine was not working. So everything had to be paid with cash. Who would expect to be walking around with 15,000 - 20,000 kronor in cash?? Going to city center and getting the cash cost us an extra $85 in transaction fees and poor conversion rates. 2. Being a small town and boutique hotel, very few people speak English. We made an appoin**ent and went to the spa at the time. It was our first experience in a "salt cave". Nobody to tell us what to do. We lost about 10 minutes in this experience, but had to pay full price. Same thing with the mineral bath. Lost few minutes because there was nobody to guide us, but had to pay full price. Finally at check out time, we were told that their credit card system is not working for a month!!!. If that was the case, the hotel should have informed the guests in ADVANCE so that we would have made alternate arrangements. As for the hotel itself, it is a very nice property and enjoyable if the hotel can do a better job.
