Carrington Estate

Beautiful place with very sweet staff, however the water was non-potable. Yes, you read that right— not sure how that justifies $300/night or if that’s even legal. The porterhouse steak was unbelievably tough for the price so we passed on the $30 breakfast as we figured they probably didn’t learn how to cook overnight. Beautiful room and setting, although the giant soaking tub could not be used (the water again). Won’t return.

景色不錯，房間裏蟲子較多。設施也基本上接近需要翻新的極限了。不過在大農村能有這樣的配套設施算很可以了。前台的小姐姐服務也很好。另外就是如果想用室外恆温泳池，最好別住獨棟。獨棟所在區域走去泳池太遠了，要開車從外面繞過去。

it was a perfect stay in one of the lodges for 3 days. The golf course is difficult but in very good shape-it is a champions course. The staff is mega friendly and supportive. Breakfast is excellent and prepared by a young friendly lady-good cappucino,fruits and,and.....

This was our second trip to Carrington and it was as good as the first. The golf course was in very good condition considering the dry weather the north has had over summer and the views remain excellent! The staff, service and food were fantastic. Nothing was a problem for the staff and the eye fillet steak for dinner was outstanding. If you enjoy your golf, make sure you don’t miss out on this treat! We’ll be back….

Had a great stay at Carrington Estate. Rooms were big and clean, views were amazing, so much to do and see. Spa could be warmer but still nice to soak and check out the ocean & stars! Golf course was also great as was the winery & all the food (thanks to all F&B staff who’s names I wish I could remember- so much fun having laughs with you all)! Jo and Tamara were super helpful at the front desk and helped us with anything we needed and Dipesh also super quick and helpful sorting my lost property. Thanks for a fun long weekend- see you in the future :)

For those of you travelling to the top of the north island and not going past The Bay of Islands you are missing out on a huge treat especially golfers. The Carrington Estate has a stunning well kept golf course with difficult to beat views from the clubhouse, course and rooms. Our group of 5 shared a well equipped 3 bedroom Villa as a package which included lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast with unlimited golf. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. It’s only 1 1/2 hours north of Paihia and well worth a visit.

Firstly, the good bits. Food is very good and the service excellent. Now if you need good wifi give this place a miss. It is between hopeless and non existent. The bathroom needs a total makeover - shower in the bath and a cracked washbasin. Towels not that great. Room was large. The whole place looks a bit tired with the grounds needing attention as does the non heated pool furniture.

We are absolutely glad and grateful for have chosen Carrington for our wedding. It was the most beautiful day of our lives! ❤️🙏✨ Everything was perfect and the location and the experience offered by Carrington made it exceptional! ✨👌🏻 We had friends and family coming from everywhere overseas and every single one of our guest told us that was the most beautiful and magical wedding. I have to say that the experience with Carrington was magical since day 1, when we went to north land for a “romantic weekend away” and my husband and I fallen 100% in love with the area and winery! Our second time was when we were engaged and we were looking for a place in northland that offers a covered area and the beauty of Northland, and we went to explore what Carrington could offer ! We were so lucky to met Shayla (the awesome event manager) who gave us an amazing planning advice, share many options, great availability for calls to organise the wedding and excellent recommendations. But the most important, she kept us calm and feeling confident during almost all the process (exactly what you need to plan a wedding 🥰didn’t need a wedding planner, Shayla provided that help to me ! Shayla and the team also gave us many treats, gifts and made us feel very spoiled and special during all the wedding planning period and after it! We are very thankful for all the Carrington team that with their hard work made our wedding day so incredible. We hope that more people can enjoy this paradise and the fantastic experience that the Carrington team provides!! My husband Dan wrote more details in his review and I agree 100%!! I loved so much up there and can’t wait for our next trip to the north to visit and stay in Carrington! Please try the gnocchis and a glass of sparkling rose on the sunset ! Possibly our worst dining experience ever. We waited TWO HOURS to be served very basic (frozen / packet?) food. None of group of seven could find positive comment for any of our meal selections. Good view out to the coast only thing to recommend venue. Suggest going elsewhere.
