During our planned stay from 20th to 22nd October 2023 at Mascot, a booking error sent my family and me from Bangalore to Kannur on the wrong dates. Despite not having the chance to stay at Mascot, I feel compelled to share this exceptional experience. Upon realizing our rooms were booked for the 27th to 29th October instead, the Mascot staff showcased remarkable empathy and efficiency. They promptly arranged accommodations at another excellent hotel, continuously checking on our well-being. Their actions were beyond mere customer service; they restored our faith in hu***ity and the kindness of people. What impressed me most was the full refund of our booking amount, a gesture of goodwill that deeply touched us. This incident didn’t just resolve a logistical error; it transformed us into lifelong patrons of Mascot. Their exceptional handling of an unforeseen situation has earned the loyalty of not just my family, but also our friends.

We wanted to book about 20 rooms for January 2024, for our daughter's wedding. Before booking we wanted to check out the quality of the stay for ourselves. Disappointed would be an understatement. Disgusted would be the apt word for the way we felt. My husband had booked the room about a month back, since he had spoken to the owner. We booked a balcony deluxe room. The room was dingy. Bathroom had no shower curtain, the flush wouldn't flush properly, so we had to fill water in the bucket and flush the toilet. While having bath the shower was dripping. I just touched it with just a finger (not exaggerating at all) and the shower head just fell into the bucket with a thud and the bucket developed a crack. Dread to think of what would have happened if I had decided to take a bath using that ready to fall shower head. The extra bed was a sofa cum bed that was pulled out and the head part of the sofa just fell backward. The room boy did something and made it slightly slanted upward, which was not a comfortable way to sleep at all. While pulling out the sofa a cockroach started running all over the place which the room boy ***aged to kill. He then got out a blanket from the wardrobe and that had huge holes in it. A little later I noticed that the sheet that was spread on the main bed was also torn. Paying 3900/- per day for a hotel that's as run down as this, is a total rip off. There are much better hotels in the vicinity that is far superior. Never again will we stay here nor will we recommend this place to anyone. It's like the ***agement just doesn't care about how badly this place is run. Wish I has clicked pictures of the whole thing I shared here. Ours was Room Number 603.

Enjoy sunset by the sea front whilst enjoying a non-alcoholic beverage (alcohol not served on premises). Good and reasonably priced dinner menu. Quality selection of seafood. Hotel and rooms need a makeover and thorough cleaning. Mould growth in the crevices of the bathroom. There were cockroaches crawling around in the outdoor dinning area. OK if you are on a budget and willing to put up with cleanliness issues.

This resort is about 2 km away from railway station. An expansive facility with buffet breakfast, swimming pool facing the sea, cafe, restaurant with nominal rate, car parking facilities. Housekeeping was good and the reception was good . Rooms are bit smaller and balcony was smaller for two people. Food was very good.

Stayed a night at this cliff property facing the Arabian ocean. An old property situated close to the city centre away from busy roads. The view of the property is serene. The checkin process was smooth. We have booked sea view room with balcony. 2 rooms were alloted in first floor, which had a good view of the sea, but no lift to reach (difficult for elderly people). We booked 2 categories of room. The standard room is good for a couple and the Deluxe room is very spacious with big bed and couches with a coffee table. Both these rooms offered a beautiful view to the sea. Rooms are old. Needs upgrading of beds. Though cleaning is done regularly we can see dust in the corners of the room and behind the headboard of the bed. Room service with good list of food to order. Food was tasty. Breakfast served at the restaurant offers simple and tasty tood with limited varieties. Swimming pool operational from 8 am to 6 pm. Using the pool during these hours offers you free tanning. Pool has moulds grown at the grills. Requires deep cleaning. Overall an old property with few upgrades needed which offers a good sunset view. 🌇

We stayed there during one of the conferences, Awesome property is to. be noted. Move around the property, enjoy the Arabian Sea View and Encalm self Prefer to stay on the ground floor and ask for sea view Enjoy Love

Me and my wife stayed at the property for a night. Check in was on 18th Feb'22. We selected the property as the hotel location was very good. The property is situated on a cliff on the baby beach with very good view of the ocean. There is no direct access to the ocean from the property (We were knowing this beforehand). We arrived earlier than the check in time. As the room was not ready, we had lunch at the hotel's restaurant (They said they shall clean the room by then). The food was found to be decent. After lunch, when we proceeded to the room on 2nd floor (top floor), we got the first inkling of the age of the property. The lift was the smallest I have seen in my 39 years of living. Barely 3 normal people could fit in (Might have been the best when the hotel was constructed). After arriving in the room, we found the curtains, ceiling fan, table etc to be very dusty. When we switched on the AC (not a centralized unit), we felt dust in the air. The AC vents were also very dirty. We complaint about this to the reception. They asked whether I wanted to switch to another room. From the state of affairs and the conversation I had, I came to the conclusion that the cleanliness would be similar in almost all the rooms. So we declined the offer and instructed them to clean our room properly. A cleaning staff came to check this. We showed her the state of affairs. From the conversation, I found that my assumption was correct regarding the general cleanliness of the property. Anyways, we informed that we shall be going out for a meeting and instructed her to clean the room before we return. After giving the specific instructions and showing her the dust hanging on the fan, curtains etc we were expecting the hotel to do a thorough cleaning before we returned. When we reached back, the receptionist confirmed that the room has been cleaned. But to our horror, when we entered the room it was seen that they did a shabby job of cleaning the room. Maybe they they felt they had done an excellent job as per their standards. Anyways, we could see that the curtains were all dusty and so were the fan leaves. The AC vents and table were clean. I have attached a pic of the curtains after the cleaning was done (They could have at least changed the curtains with a fresh one. That's what we had instructed. Maybe they dont have any fresh ones). We again complained to the reception and they sent another cleaning staff (He explained he is from the night shift and the earlier cleaning was by day shift people). He offered to again clean it. But we declined, as the dust would be flying around the room if they did it then. Anyways, we decided to grin and bear it as we would be spending only minimal time in the room. We wouldn't recommend anyone to take this property if you are particular about having a clean room. If that is not a bother, then enjoy and all the best...

I have been regularly staying here at Mascot when i come on short visits to kannur from Bangalore .location is great but the place is old and needs a renovation badly as interiors are really old furniture is creaking and has basic facilities only . Today we all look forward to very clean and sanitised rooms with a nice hot shower . Food quality is nowhere near the good food Kannur is famous for .buffet brealfast is basic and not tasty . Staff is good and room service is fine . One may have to change rooms sometimes as there may be functional issues in most rooms . Request ***agement to do a basic makeover for rooms in phases as we could look forward to stay in this hotel for futute trips . Even food quality is to be improved .staff is good .

I hand been to this hotel several times before about 8 years ago .and it was a good property . And I visited this property in December 2021, and it was all different right from the reception . We reached the hotel after 2 pm and the rooms were not ready, and the reception staff did not care . After waiting for one hour they gave us the rooms. The rooms were ok. The restaurant was run down , the pool was very dirty , there was no pool towel and the pool was not cleaned in weeks, there was so much dirt at the bottom of the pool that we were slipping. We would not have got into the pool if it was so dirty. Over all this property is on the way down and the only reason people would go there is for the location
