Na een aantal nachten in een tent en boomhutten te hebben geslapen, voelde het hotel in Kandy als een wellness aan. De kamer was mooi, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Badkamer ook prima, met bad en warm water. Vooral het uitzicht vanaf het balkon was super. Uitkijkend over het dal maar ook tussen de bomen waardoor vooral bij zonsopkomst en zonsondergang mooie vogels te zien waren. Het personeel was super vriendelijk, het eten was heel lekker, en goedkoop ook. Zwembad ook prima. We waren met een ander koppel de enigste gasten, maar daar was qua service niets van te merken. Het was allemaal top.

Ondanks Code Oranje i.o.m. onze reisorganisatie Original Asia toch naar naar Sri Lanka gegaan. Absoluut geen spijt. Als toerist heb je niet veel last van de interne problemen en protesten. Rijd je in een bus(je) met chauffeur/gids dan krijg je voorrang bij benzine tanken en anders regelt de chauffeur wel iets. Dit is voor Sri Lanka de derde rampjaar op rij. Twee jaar COVID-19 en nu weer een economische crisis terwijl zij afhankelijk zijn van toeristen die wegblijven. Wij hebben twee overnachtingen gemaakt in dit hotel. Wij waren met wat andere Nederlandse toeristen de enigen die in het hotel verbleven. Je merkt dat dit hotel een moeilijke tijd doormaakt. ‘s avonds een alcoholische versnapering nuttigen was niet mogelijk omdat de bar was gesloten. Vreemd. Nu gingen de toeristen naar de lokale ‘supermarkt’ om bier in te slaan en in het hotel opdrinken. Zelfs de ober opperde dat idee. Blijft vreemd. Verder een mooi hotel, met infinity pool met uitzicht over Kandy. Trouwens de lokale apen (makaken) houden ook van het water en springen geregeld in het zwembad. Worden dan weer verjaagd door personeel, kostelijk om te zien. Hel vriendelijk personeel en ontzettend lekker gegeten. Ik hoop dat meer toeristen toch Sri Lanka aandoen.

The hotel is located on the hills of Kandy, about a 20-minute tuktuk ride from the train station. The entrance area, lobby, restaurant and outdoor area with pool are well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The view over Kandy and the surrounding mountains is magnificent. You can enjoy the sunset from the infinity pool. The breakfast is very tasty with local and intercontinental dishes. We were treated very politely at all times and our requests were fulfilled quickly. The hotel also offers a good laundry service. Some of the furnishings are old and a bit broken - the sun loungers by the pool soon fall apart. The playground looks terrible. The bathroom in the double rooms is old and doesn't look well maintained. Our bathrooms did not have a shower cubicle but a bathtub with a shower curtain. On the 1st floor, garden workers look over the balcony into our room. The double room with garden view is dark and cramped. The double room with mountain view is spacious, bright and well maintained. The bathroom is in the same condition as in the double room with garden view. Price-performance ratio is definitely top, if you don't expect a first class hotel. You get a hotel with a first-class view, fantastic service, great staff and good food.

What an amazing place! The view and the service was incredible. The staff is fantastic and always ready to help, they made our stay at Kandy so wonderful and special. Loved the food especially the srilankan breakfast- it’s a must try. Mr. Hemal has been a great host and Sandali was such a sweet person and always greeted us with a warm smile. Kudos to the chef Kusal for the delicious food 🙌🏼 plus they have a gym which is always a plus point!!

this was a very bad experience, the staff was unbothered to help you , the rooms were dirty and the AC didn’t work i changed rooms twice still same issues , and when you try to contact the front desk they will not answer. the only thing is good about this hotel was the view

We went to Randholee Resort & Spa during the last weekend, making a reservation for 2 nights /3 days and ended up staying one more / extra day as we were so amused by the service provided by the staff. To start with, we were travelling with our son of two and half years of age for the first time to the hill country and we were very particular on the view of the room, security features, etc … Sandamali from the Reservations was so helpful at the point of reservation, to clear our doubts and to ensure all been promised were delivered when we were there. The view was breathtaking which we really enjoyed and the room and the facilities were nice and clean. The restaurant staff were very prompt and attentive. My son never felt that he was with strangers as they made the environment so homely. The friendly service provided by Ruwan , Kusal and Thushara were commendable. The way they helped us with our kids food and our specific requirements made us very comfortable and relaxed. The buffet was not a massive spread , but was sufficient and yummy. The holiday was a much-needed break from our usual busy life followed by my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We are so glad that we selected Randholee a location associated with Ancient History to spend our time off in such a memorable way.

The resort is good with great views, good breakfast spread, good wifi, good TV, good swimming pool, great ambiance, clean and green, good staff, slightly away from the city center but that makes it romantic and cozy, overall enjoyed the stay

We recently visited Randholee Resorts and Spa for a day outing with our family of five, and it was a delightful experience. The staff, particularly Ms. Poornima, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our lunch was special and served with excellence. The breathtaking view around the infinity pool added to the charm of our day, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious and definitely worth the price.Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!
