Hotel the Silk Route

Very nice place to stay. Great views excellent vista of the Fort and surrounding city from the rooftop patio. My room on the main floor was quiet and cozy the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent, plenty of hot water which was especially after a long travel day. The host made my stay very easy and helped organize an excursion into the desert. Would love to stay again. Thanks!

We had a warm welcome from Dilip & Akbar. It is a family run small business & there were several gestures that made us feel like they’re looking out for us. Akbar is a knowledgeable advisor & a great cook & a sweet ***. Dilip speaks fluent English and has deep knowledgeable about the history of Rajasthan, particularly the desert & its people. This is a one stop shop for your stay in Jaisalmer. Ask them about their non-touristy desert experience. We highly recommend this place.

No better place to stay in Jaiselmer than this beautiful boutique hotel. As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed. The rooms are spacious immaculately clean and with the heavy wooden beautifully carved doors it feels very special. Up on the roof terrace you have a magnificent view of the fort and you can relax with a beer or a lassi whatever you want. Ghumon will look after you and cook you what you want when you want. It’s just a really friendly place. They will also arrange a night in the desert should you wish or even just dinner and then bring you back. Everything is very reasonably priced. They have a excellent laundry service too. I can’t say enough good things about this great hotel! Although it’s not in the fort it is just a short walk to the gate and really it’s so nice to see the fort lit up at night !

Best place to stay in jaisalmer,terrace give you best view of fort and jaisalmer city,all staff are kind and good experience they cooked good food at rooftop reastaurant,pls go to stay once at silk route hotel.

It is a nice little hotel, with a beautiful view of the fort. Terrace is the place to be after sundown. Akbar and Ghu*** are quite helpful to arange the safri, and other tours. The only let down was the food. But there are ***y restaurants near by.

L’hôtel est très propre, joliement de décoré et la literie est très confortable. Le personnel est très à l’écoute. La vue de la terrasse sur le fort très bien. Ils organisent aussi des safaris qui rendent votre passage à Jaisalmer inoubliable, une nuit de camps dans le désert par petit groupe avec balade en chameau et jeep.
