Angels Garden Hotel-Downtown

Initially I booked a room in the hotel nearby (Tiyatro Hotel) but it turned out to be closed permanently, so I had to find a place to spend the night. I quickly came across Angels' Garden Hotel. Its manager took to the street, saw me and invited me to see the last room he had available. The room, which was located on the basement floor, was good, and I liked it. It was comfortable and cozy. A tasty breakfast was served in a restaurant on the fourth floor of the same building, offering a beautiful view of the morning city. Overall, my night in that hotel was superb, quiet, and tranquil. I recommend this hotel to every traveler who is not looking for a high-end residence.

We'd had a booking at this hotel for 8 months prior to our arrival. Our credit card was hacked and we received a request from the hotel telling us to update our new,card within 24 hours to hold the booking. We tried to update by phone but were told you can't do it by phone and we've already cancelled your booking within 12 hours. Upon arrival at the hotel they charged 40 euros more than the agreed price. This is not the way to treat customers. I will not stay here again in my next trip to Istanbul

If I could give 0 stars I honestly would. I travelled with a group of 8 friends that shared 4 of the hotels rooms. Give this a read before you choose to stay here. Throughout our stay we have encountered numerous problems of which we have photos and videos as evidence that we can provide in any way requested. Multiple cockroaches, bedbugs and bites, urine leaking pipes and faulty toilets that do not flush are just to name a few. Anyone of these issues would be enough to warrant a complaint however the combination of all of these is simply a violation of basic hygiene. We were told that all the rooms are full, to sort out the issues ourselves and that there was no possible way to relocate as such 2 of our guests have had to book another hotel. The staff‘s inability to communicate in English has not helped in resolving any problems, they seem to brush off numerous insects as a common occurrence and at one point gave us the spray to deal with the cockroaches ourselves.
