I stayed at the Kumru hotel for about 14 days and it was terrible. The reception staff were not friendly, the room was hot as they refused to turn the air conditioning on for me and the breakfast was the same every day. It was awful. I suffer from arthritis and the heat and humidity causes extreme pain. I advised the reception staff of my condition and asked several times when the air conditioning will be turned on. They would not turn it on for me. Travelocity called them to see if they would assist with my request and they refused! The night prior to check out, I ordered a transfer to the airport and was quoted a price of $45. The morning of my check out, the receptionist did not order a transfer and stated I told him I would check out in the afternoon. I specifically told him I needed to be at the airport at 3 AM as my flight departs at 6 AM. Realizing he made a mistake, he ordered a taxi and charged me $50! The reception staff are not friendly and I always had to say hello, good morning, etc. and they were forced to respond. Poor customer service. My total bill for the days I stayed there was over $1,200 USD and it was a complete nightmare. Hot room, poor service and rude communication. Also, I had to sleep with the window open and the noise level was bad. Hotel staff are outside smoking and talking loud. Yet, they will call me to say my television was loud and the setting was at the lowest when the TV worked. They had to fix it on 2 occasions. The shower head wasn't working properly and water just flooded the floor. I will never stay at this dump again and do not recommend it. It is a low budget hotel with unfriendly staff who aren't willing to help. Please chose another hotel as there are many in the area of better quality. My choice was Recital Park but they did not have vacancy during my trip in Turkey. My next request will be a partial refund. I paid for comfort and did not receive it. So disgusted. Haydee M.

We are couples leave in Kumru hotel their service is perfect the hotel is very clean their food is very nice their staffs Abudul Rahaman is a very nice man who take good care of us ,and Ebrihema also a good man ,we really enjoy the hotel during our stay there …we thank them a lot we wish to see them our next holiday

My wife and I visited Istanbul for the first time and found the people in the Kumru Hotel to be very helpful and willing to give much needed advice. If you are unsure what to do in Istanbul, look no further to get settled into the historic city. Thanks. UTKU

Ho passato sei notti in questo hotel col mio ragazzo e possiamo ritenerci entrambi soddisfatti. Per arrivarci abbiamo dovuto affrontare qualche salita un po’ pesante, ma in fin dei conti Istanbul è caratterizzata da queste infinite salite e discese. Hotel abbastanza pulito e moderno. Personale gentilissimo e sempre molto disponibile. Colazione abbastanza abbondante, anche se un po’ ripetitiva. Posizione abbastanza centrale, 5 minuti a piedi da Ayasofya.
