Istanbul Family Apartment

Unacceptable when we arrived at the address no one was there the phone number was switched off and I couldn't get the landlord. We booked another hotel and the amount has been paid online but we tried to get him back from Trip.com but won't be back so he scammed us.

The rooms are clean. The place is only 12 minutes walk from metro station.

住的很好，有到家的感覺，離海邊很近，去旅遊景點也很方便，下次再來還要預訂這家！去了清真寺，老皇宮，愛情海等很多景點，印象很好👌。

Cozy and nice

It was disappointing from day 1, nobody there at reception - had to get local shopkeeper to remind caretaker to return. There were no fixtures on the wall - towel rails/toilet paper holder etc - just screw holes in the wall where they had once been. Repairs are patched and made do, rather than secured or remedied. Not a lot of care in the place. Very rudimentary - basic bed and bathroom with sp****ly furnished kitchen - one pot to cook with. Maid comes once a week (if you're lucky). The wifi was patchy, sometime out completely for hours. All sorts of leaks in the plumbing and AC, depends on how tolerant you are of it for the price you're paying. Thing was, it wasn't as much of a bargain as you'd think, its not close to transport, although you can walk to the Bazaar and Mosques in 10-15min. Don't eat at the restaurants in the vicinity - they prey on tourists and food was overpriced and terrible.

Place is very good. Room’s smelly. Center of market and food streets. Every where Manager is very kind person and helpful to guest. Near blue mosque waking 20 min

We stayed there as a couple with 4 children. The area is very busy and things are really cheap and people are very friendly. It’s easy access to the Metro in Beyazit, however it’s a 10 mins walk uphill to get to the tram station. Not a problem as such as you will soon find Istanbul is all up and down! but with the hot season, something to think about. There are many taxis that can take you up if you choose not to walk. Everywhere around this apartment is very cheap. There are many shops that are open until late, it was very convenient with the kids and safe area to walk to and from the apartment. Everything is 10 times cheaper than the area of Sultan Ahmet. In terms of the apartment itself, you get what you pay for. The apartment is very safe and they have a staff at the reception 24hrs. The apartment has air conditioning which is a massive plus if you’re staying in August because it’s boiling outside. Although this was in one room. It takes a bit of time to cool down the 2 bedrooms. The furniture is quite dated but the beds were comfy and we slept well. the kitchen facilities are not that great/ accessible for use. The missus was a little apprehensive to touch anything as the stovetop was open and didn’t seem safe. She was insistent there was a strong smell of gas. The bathroom could do with updating as there was mould on the ceiling which left a bad stuffy smell daily. To be fair, when the ladies got in to clean for us, it was manageable but again not the best. As I said you get what you pay for, and as we were on a budget and just needed a place to sleep at night, we managed with it. If you are out all day and only come home for a short and sleep, it’s great. On that note, the staff and owner are lovely and receptive. We thank them for our stay. Don’t hesitate to stay there, the owner just need to spend a bit to upgrade the furnitures and sort out the moulds in the bathroom ceiling. A bit of effort of putting a clean kettle goes a long way. The mini fridge in the room is a massive plus as we could buy our own groceries everyday and snacks and kept replenishing our fridge.
