Location near famous dinning area and shopping mall. Staff is helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast. The room is super clean.

Overall the hotel has been refurbished as it is one of the old hotels in Ipoh. At first was skeptical to book this hotel but because of the strategic location, I went ahead and book it. Very convenient as the famous dim sum restaurants are stone throw away and nearest shopping mall is around 10-15 minutes walk. Parking was a bit narrow as cars in the old days are not as big as the cars now so need to be extra careful if you are driving and park inside the hotel parking. Else you can opt to park at the parking lot outside the hotel. Overall the room looks clean but the sound proof is not that great. Breakfast was okay considering the price you pay per night but with lots of good food around I think you can opt out the breakfast option. The view from my room also not too bad.

Never regretted booking here. Rooms are clean. Rooms are spacious. Only issuebis the narrow car park and the limited spaces. But apart from that, this is my go to hotel in ipoh. As a couple or a family or even business, you cant go wrong with excelsior. Rooms come with separate bathtubs and shower . Excellent hotel

Excellent value and good location. The staff are courteous and helpful. Parking is convenient but multistorey driving a bit narrow.

Location is convenient. Hotel room is not very clean, when I entrance to first room that have smells like old buildings, I requested to changed to other room that a bit better than first room. I also saw the hair on the toilet floor, inside the cover of blanket and on the pillow. The renovation of hotel is half new half old.
