Overpriced in July – Clean Towels, But Not Much Else We stayed here in June for €200 for two nights, and for that price, it was acceptable. The room was clean, and the white towels and linens were fresh and neat. If you’re just looking for a clean place to sleep, it does the job. But we originally wanted to stay in July, and the price then jumps to €1900 for three nights — which is absolutely insane for what you actually get. Here’s what to expect (or not expect) at that price: No linen change during a 2-night stay — you’re using the same sheets from check-in to check-out. Amenities are neglected: the barbecue area is dirty, and outside furniture like tables, chairs, and cups are broken and gathering dust. If you drink American coffee, you're given a plastic cup and a stir stick — but no spoon to scoop the grounds. The toaster looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in centuries. And then there’s the mini-bar situation: €1 for a 500ml bottle of water not even cold €4 for a mini tube of off-brand chips passed off as “Pringles” — not the real thing, and definitely not full-sized. Even being near the racetrack doesn’t justify this kind of pricing. At nearly €700 per night, you’re not getting anything beyond basic cleanliness — and even that stops short of decent service. Final verdict: The towels may be clean, but the experience isn’t worth the price tag. At these rates, you can — and should — find somewhere far better.

Just to be clear, this review is only related to my experience, namely staying at the Smart Hotel Autodromo (aka Hotel Rivazza) during the Imola F1 Grand Prix. For that purpose, the hotel was OUTSTANDING, primarily due to its AMAZING location. It's located right at the Rivazza turn (hence its original name Hotel Rivazza), so guests can watch the races from the hotel balcony or from the hotel garden, both of which offer fantastic views. More importantly, the location of the hotel meant that we parked our car in the hotel parking on Thursday evening and didn't touch it until Monday morning after the race. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we went everywhere on foot: to the racing events, to the various happenings at the track, and to the beautiful city of Imola for dinner (at one of the many excellent restaurants). The hotel itself is modest but very well organized, very clean, and with good Wi-Fi. It was quite expensive during this race weekend, but in my opinion it was well worth the money: it offered a unique and unforgettable experience. My only request: I wish the hotel had arranged a special viewing area in its garden that would have been exclusive to hotel guests. We paid A LOT of money for our room, and it would have been nice to have a chair to sit in in the hotel garden.

Beautiful place to stay Beautiful spot right on the edge of Lake Garda. Only 10 seconds walk from front of the hotel to a swim in the lake or a sunbed on the hotel's pebbly beach. Spotless hotel with excellent italian breakfast. The staff were very kind and professional. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Chambre un peu vieillotte mais très propre et en très bon état. Accès aux locaux via WhatsApp. Toutes les instructions sont claires et l'accès est facile. Incroyable de pouvoir dormir dans un hôtel qui se situe à l'intérieur même du circuit d'Imola. Un jardin de l'hôtel donne directement sur une vue de la ligne droite des stands et il y a même des gradins privatifs !
