Club Munamar Beach Resort – All Inclusive

Hotel was what yours expect for a 3 star. Food not so good but lots of places to eat around. The hotel is spilt between a road and meant that we had to walk over the road for all the amenities such as food and the water slides. Beer was flowing tho and no real problems. Rooms not cleaned regularly. WiFi was ok.

I was very pleased with the hotel despite the reviews, all the staff were lovely and friendly. I was especially pleased with the professionalism and hard work of bar captain Kamil Bey, I thank him for his hospitality and nice service.

I thought I'd put this quick review as after reading some reviews, I was seriously worried about coming here. We arrived in the early hours after our flight, met by a helpful and friendly person on reception (24 hour) who helped us to our room, the room is basic but clean, the bed is fine. Breakfast much to my surprise was perfectly edible, plenty of choice and yes it is in a different location, same hotel literally across the street, big deal! Ok it's early days, but, having read some reviews I thought it apt to put a brief thought out there first. It is what it is, if your expectations are a 5 star spa resort then you may be disappointed, that said, our last holiday was at a 5 star spa resort and so far at least, this is exceeding our expectations way more than the last place in Corfu did. It's cheap, be realistic in your expectations and you won't be disappointed. I will update this review at the end of our stay.

Room smelt of dump. For 4ppl there was only two towels. Cables out of walls . Dirty and old furniture. Could hear everything what's happening in neighbouring. Cleaners very loud already at 7am. For all inclusive they didn't have any snacks for kids at all. Poor English language at reception. Dirty pool area ,some of the guest took the brush and started to sweep floor himself, while service people from hotel was filming and find it funny .definitely not 4* hotel. They don't have luggage room. Not big choice of food ,same deserts every single day.

After seeing the reviews on this hotel we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I wish we hadn't. If I could give this hotel less than 1 star I would. Firstly the food was inedible, we are not a fussy family and someone even approached me telling me not to give my son the cucumber as it made her child ill. The rooms were awful, I'd go as far as saying a safety hazard. The air con was on full but there was no way of turning it down or off and wires were hanging out all over the place, my children were freezing. I found blood stains on one of the beds and the room itself was so dated and the beds were awful. On arrival our family of 5 had been given 3 towels. I had to go to Reception and ask 5 times just to get 2 more clean towels so we could shower. The staff were unhelpful when I made complaints and asked for towels. The entertainment consisted of a 10 minute disco for the children and that was it all night. And for someone who doesn't have a high alcohol tolerance im pretty sure the alcohol was actually just cola. We were due to stay 7 nights and we checked out the following day as soon as we found another hotel we could move to. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. I have never in all my life and we travel multiple times a year stayed in a hotel so bad. Everyone I spoke to before we left were eating at the kebab shop across the street or living on chips which were just about edible. When we did check out the reception team actually laughed as they cut off our bands and someone shouted see you next season and then laughed. I imagine the complaints and early check outs happen so often this is just the normal for them now.

Where to begin? We arrived at around midnight were given our key and told we were in the second floor. After searching the second floor we discovered we were on the first floor. Rooms are less than basic, cracked wall and floor tiles, visible dust, soap scum in the shower. The next morning we wandered the hotel to find the restaurant for breakfast to no avail. THE HOTEL DOESN'T HAVE A RESTAURANT. you need to leave the hotel, cross the road and go to the sister hotel breakfast/lunch/dinner. (Food's not up to much, we ate out mostly) After breakfast we had a "welcome" meeting with a rep. During this meeting he asked if we wanted to book any trips and we booked the day trip to Rhodes. Total £100 and when we returned to Turkey, the bus drove off and left us. Another bus driver just kept pointing at our bus leaving the port. We had to get a taxi back to the hotel costing £15. When getting back to the hotel we contacted the rep "Alex" who told us we went to duty free (we didn't) we missed the bus and it's our fault and also "it didn't happen". We overheard another woman who booked an excursion for her family and the bus didn't even arrive to pick her up and was told it did so she wasn't getting her money back. In short... I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. Bottled water isn't included in the all inclusive. The towels are changed every 3 days. The coffee cups are smaller than espresso cups (in the UK). On a positive note it's in a good location. Lots of shops/restaurants etc nearby. 25 lira to marmaris on the bus and 200 lira on the water taxi

Horrible food, very low quality shampoos and towels etc. No slippers or beverages in the rooms. stinky bathrooms.. How can this kind of hotel has 5 stars.. The workers are doing their best in general, but we really had to went our for dinner after the first day. I believe everybody was doing the same.

Horrible place ! Never again even for this money. Not safety place for kids. Rooms are so damaged. We found ants and insects in room in bathroom. Reception didint help nothing. Photos I don't know from what age are but not current one. Not WiFi connection ! Playground for kids terrible ! I been in Turkey many times but I never seen hotel like this. I understand everything but this type of view I can't explain.

We’re here now, absolutely cannot fault the hotel, especially for the price you get. Clean rooms, comfy beds. A little on the noisy side during entertainment but it soon quietens down and doesn’t go on all night. Pool areas are lovely. Food is good, limited selection but what is there is good and flavoursome. I don’t know what people expect for their money but after reading the reviews I was very dubious about coming, glad to experience that it is not true. Hotel staff have all been very friendly. Showers can be a bit cooler in peak times so factor that in. A five minute walk to the beach, everything is in easy access including a dolmus bus route that goes past the hotel. No complaints, apart from the fact that we’re only here for a week and not longer!
