A small group of friends and I visited this hotel in the summer and it was a very lovely experience. The hotel is clean, well-maintained and relatively modern. Would I consider it a true 5* hotel/resort? No. However, it’s still in good shape, the rooms were nicely decorated and the hotel is clean. Could it be updated? Yes, but I had no major complaints and I am quite picky. So if I could feel comfortable here and not get “the ICK” I’m sure others who are a little picky themselves would enjoy their stay. The resort is adults only, and has a number of restaurants serving a range of food so there will be something to suit many tastes. I had read some negative reviews of the food here but none of us had any issues. At the start of our trip, all of us did catch “a little something”and were not feeling our best for 2 days, however, after a visit from the resort doctor and a brief trip to the pharmacy, we were fine. Nobody can be sure if we got sick because of the food at the resort, specifically, so let's just say that we got sick due to the heat, new germs from a new country or just travel sickness. Who knows? What we had didn’t really negatively impact our trip or our view of the hotel. The resort also has a spa with good massages available at a reasonable price (I booked a package so I could have a massage every day!), a small beach, a couple of large pools, some stores and is close to Hurghada city centre (a short Uber or taxi ride away). Just outside the front of the hotel there is a small pharmacy, a bank with an ATM that accepts foreign cards, as well as a few souvenir shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The resort is a very short car ride (maybe 5 minutes) away from the airport. Overall, our stay was entertaining and we met some lovely staff members. I would like to thank Ahmed and "Big John" in particular for their service and for making my friends and I laugh on many an occasion with their silly jokes 😊 Both staff members were very, very kind. FYl - "Big John" is also known as "Ricardo" who is also known as... I don't know. He is a man with many aliases. I would definitely recommend this hotel for solo travellers, couples, friends and families (without children, as again, this an adults-only resort). Note: Bring small denomination bills or coins for tips (dollars, euros or pounds) as staff work hard on long (12 hour) shifts and tips are appreciated. Staff here do go the extra mile for you and it's nice to show appreciation in a tangible way.
