Kioto Hostels

Located perfectly near Kyoto-Kawaramachi, this hostel can offer top service in every aspect: staff is very welcome and friendly, everyone speak great English and everything is clean. They have male and women only floors and also one that is a mix for everybody. Each guest is offered a locker that can fit a 203cm luggage and can keep your extra bags. Capsule itself is extremely spacious, as a 182cm male I could sit up properly in my space and still have room above me. Ventilation is okay and power sockets as well as good lightning are included. Toilets and showers are very well cleaned and maintained. Each day you are given a new set of towels and slippers, which is very nice. Guests here were well mannered and friendly. Overall I can say with confidence that this is a very good place to stay in Kyoto, totally recommend! P.S.: Gion is located nearby so that is also a plus. Note that this is not ”party” hostel

The hostel was exceptionally clean and well-organized. The sleeping area was larger than typical hostels, providing extra comfort for rest. The high ceilings created a spacious and airy atmosphere, eliminating any sense of confinement. Overall, staying at this hostel was a very pleasant and comfortable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tidy and relaxing place to stay.

Uitstekende locatie. Zeer dicht bij een konbini en alle openbaar vervoer. Snelle wifi. Gratis koffie. Ze bieden handdoeken aan en je kunt je handdoek elke dag verschonen. Op de eerste verdieping kun je je haar drogen met een Dyson-föhn. Er is ook een föhn (een eenvoudige) in de kamer. De douche is voorzien van shampoo, conditioner, douchegel en een prullenbak die heel handig is geplaatst. Er zijn ook wattenstaafjes, tissues en papieren handdoeken. Er is een koelkast en wasmachines voor 300 yen (met muntjes) en een droger voor je kleding voor 100 yen. Ik zou dit hostel zeker aanbevelen aan een vriend.

我住的上鋪，辦理入住後，老闆給個開門密碼，方便你晚回來開門，11點以後，老闆不在店裡，要回家住的。大概5點多，老闆就開始做早餐。這家個人感覺的幾個主要優點：1、老闆服務態度好，氛圍很温馨；2、老闆做的早餐是最大的亮點，免費，食材種類多，也比較新鮮；晚上免費咖啡提供；3、外面有個小庭院，方便抽煙的人過過癮；4、離地鐵東山站很近，步行分鐘可到；5、價格比較親民。 要説不足，九號空間有點侷促，但對背包客來説，無所謂。拖家帶口的，顯得有點小，稍有不便。

De locatie is uitstekend, op slechts 400 meter lopen van het winkelgebied. De service is erg goed en er is bagageopslag beschikbaar. De omgeving is erg schoon, zonder onaangename geuren. De bedden bieden goede privacy, hoewel het wel wat gehorig kan zijn omdat iedereen een ander slaapritme heeft; oordopjes zijn verkrijgbaar bij de receptie. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes zijn erg schoon en worden elke ochtend en avond schoongemaakt. Ieders kluisje is ruim en handig om spullen in op te bergen. De bedden zijn niet te zacht en niet te hard, waardoor ze zeer comfortabel slapen, en de vele stopcontacten zijn een pluspunt.

FUGA STAY, true to the meaning of its name “fuga” (elegance and serenity), is a refined and peaceful hideaway tucked within the heart of Kyoto. I personally love hotels that are hidden away from the main road yet still extremely convenient—just a 3 to 5-minute walk from Omiya Subway Station and numerous Kyoto city bus stops. If you’re into cycling or using e-scooters, there’s a Luup rental station right in front of the hotel. The room is spacious and very comfortable for a solo traveler. It comes with two double beds that you can easily move together to form a super king-size bed. The bathroom is also large, with no sense of tightness. The front desk staff speaks Japanese and Chinese, so communication is smooth and easy. Honestly, I’m hesitant to praise FUGA too much—if too many people discover it, the price might go up! P.S. Just around the corner is Tendō Shrine, only a 2-minute walk away. It felt like a beautiful encounter by fate. FUGA STAYは、その名の通り「風雅」で、賑やかな場所の中にありながらも静かで、控えめで上品な空間です。 大通りに面していないホテルが好きな私にとって、ここは理想的な立地です。徒歩3〜5分で大宮駅や京都市内の多数のバス停にアクセスできます。 自転車や電動キックボードが好きな方には、目の前にLuupのステーションがあってとても便利です。 部屋は広く、一人で泊まってもとても快適です。ダブルベッドが2台あり、自分で簡単に動かして、特大キングサイズベッドのように使うことができます。トイレも広々としていて、窮屈さは感じません。 フロントでは日本語と中国語（漢語）が通じるので、安心して滞在できます。 正直、あまり褒めすぎたくないです…人気が出て値上がりしそうで（笑） P.S. すぐ近くの路地に「天道神社」があり、徒歩2分ほどです。素敵なご縁を感じました。 FUGA STAY，如同其名字「風雅」一般，是一處鬧中取靜、低調而優雅的住宿空間。 我特別喜歡這種不在主幹道上、卻又交通便利的飯店——步行3到5分鐘即可抵達地鐵大宮站與眾多京都市巴士站點。 如果你喜歡騎單車或滑板車，門口就有Luup的租借點，非常方便。 房間空間寬敞，一個人住起來非常舒適，因為配置了兩張雙人床（可以輕鬆地自行移動，變成超級大king size）；廁所空間也很大，毫無壓迫感。 前台服務人員通曉日語與漢語，溝通無障礙。 說真的，我不太想過度讚美FUGA，因為怕太多人知道之後價格會上漲（笑） P.S. 小巷轉角就有一間「天道神社」，走路約2分鐘，非常有緣。

De familiekamer heeft een binnen- en buitenkamer. De tatami in de buitenkamer biedt plaats aan twee personen. Wij sliepen met één persoon en de resterende ruimte werd gebruikt voor stretching en yoga, wat de vermoeidheid verlichtte. 2) Er is een inductiekookplaat, compleet met potten, schalen en eetstokjes. Tegenover het hotel zit een plaatselijke supermarkt, die om 23.00 uur lijkt te sluiten. Je kunt zelf een uitgebreid ontbijt maken, maar je kunt ook tot laat op de avond genieten snack. 3) Vervoer, het hangt ervan af hoe je erover praat, het is 3 km van het station van Kyoto, wat een beetje ver is. Maar er zijn bussen 205, 202, 13 en 43 vlak voor de deur. Er zijn bussen 32, 11 en 206 op een paar honderd meter afstand, dus ga naar Arashiyama/Kinkakuji-tempel, Eikando/Nanzenji-tempel/Philosophy Trail/Ginkakuji-tempel , Shijo Karasuma/Kawagencho, Kyoto Station/Toji Tempel/Tofukuji Tempel zijn allemaal direct toegankelijk. The hotel lovated is amazing. Only 2 minutes from Nijo Station, and 5 minutes to Co-op Nijo (a supermarket) with huge variety of products. We always bought meals at 09.00 PM and got a 30-50% discount. Very cheap and convenient! The room is surprisingly spacious, not like other hotels in Japan which is small. They have hangers for clothes and we can hang out clothes to dry in the balcony. They have microwave and big refrigerator for our meals. Sadly, too much dust in the room even after they cleaned it🥹 For the amenities like soap, shampoo and conditioner they have it refill every 2 days, but for tooth brush and toothpaste they only gave it to us once. And we have to ask for more in the reception. But it's a really nice experience living in this hotel💕

Location not the best and can find nearer to Kyoto station with same price. The location only good to go Nijojo castle, Toji Temple & Ginkako temple. Nothing much nearby, no night bars only a restaurant opposite it. The worst was no lift, for a female with 20 kg luggage, I have to carry it for 4 levels up and down all by myself. It’s understandable no space to install lift, but pls consider to install a luggage travel lift. Layout of the room is very good especially bath and toilet inside the room. Some may not like it cause ppl may back late night to bath and make noises. But I do like the single room layout with small dress up table before the capsule bed.
