This is put toward the extra time it takes our cleaner to get all hairs and messes (even the cleanest, well-behaved dogs) along with the longer-term care we need to keep our house immaculate!PARKING/NEIGHBORHOOD INFO:Sunset Haven is located in a friendly, peaceful mountain neighborhood! Less than 200 feet from the front door are hiking trails leading to the neighborhood ponds. Enjoy fishing in the catch-and-release pond in the summer and ice skating in the winter (ice skating shed even has skates and hockey gear for you!) The neighborhood features 200 acres of open space for hiking, biking, and volleyball.There is ample parking in front of the home (space for 3 cars). The home is located on a private easement shared with a few other neighbors. Because of this, there is almost no traffic on that road. We do ask that you be courteous of our neighbors and stick to the designated parking spaces.WINTER:To get to Sunset Haven, you’ll be on paved roads the entire time with the exception of the 100 foot easement (rare for mountain properties!) However we strongly suggest a 4WD or AWD vehicle between Nov-April (Colorado weather can be unpredictable...so you'll just want to check the weather reports and act accordingly).CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:- Check-in is after 4:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am.- NO CHORES HERE! Deer Creek Cabin (originally WYSIWYG Cabin) is a log cabin located in Bailey, Colorado, 45 minutes SW of Denver off I-285 South in the area of Elk Creek Highlands in Deer Creek Valley. It is a great mountain getaway! We are a short drive in to Denver, when you wish to go out to a movie or dinner with friends or family while at the cabin.It is a great log cabin mountain getaway with 2 bedrooms, the master with a queen-size bed, the second with a full-size bed! There is a hot tub on the deck, lounge chairs, outdoor dining area, just to name a few of the luxuries you'll find...We are 1.5 hours from Breckenridge Ski Resort and 2 hours from Winter Park Ski Resort. We do not refund for weather, and expect our guests to be prepared to encounter snow during this time. Our location is well maintained and lower elevation (compared to other mountain towns) and is a great option for drivers. We do plow for 4+ inches, but we cannot guarantee it is immediate since it depends on the plow driver's schedule. If we do get a snow storm, you will need to be more self-sufficient and we provide shovels and basic winter supplies. Please consider trip insurance if you are not comfortable with snow. However, we believe this is the most beautiful time of the year and a great time to visit. WILDLIFE: Our area is full of creatures big and small! It is very possible to encounter deer, foxes, and birds. More elusive mountain lions, bears, elk, and moose are in the area as well. Please be cautious, do not feed wildlife, and be bear aware! No coolers outside, food and drinks left outside overnight, or unlocked cars with food in them. NEIGHBORHOOD: We are located in a very small community far off the beaten path. There is plenty of privacy to be had, but we do have neighbors and adhere to a quiet hours policy. The drive to the house is about 20 minutes off of the highway, with windy breathtaking views of a mountain valley and local ranches. We are not close to grocery stores and recommend stopping in Conifer on the way in. Our limited restaurants can be seasonal and suggest calling ahead.
