Reflections Hawks Nest - Holiday Park

Nice clean place. Close to golf course. Lighting excellent. Shower was good temperature and pressure. Cabin was clean and bed was comfortable. Only negative was the very poor wifi reception - it was spasmodic at best and sometimes did not work at all. We had to give up and go into town to get wifi.

We arrived to find tree loppers cutting down large tree close where we had a Powered Site. 2 chainsaws and mulcher constantly going all day. Next day was woken at 7.40am to chainsaws yet again. We paid top dollar for site for 2 nights. We travelled a long distance to catch up with friends who we hadn't seen for a very long time. Was unable to have conversation without yelling due to level of noise. We should of been informed when booking was made of work being carried out. Not impressed with management with lack of communication.

The cabins were clean and fully stocked. We had the best time at the beach playing footy, fishing, swimming near dolphins and watched the most beautiful sunrise. We went across the road to the pub for dinner. GREAT WEEKEND! Will be back! The park was clean and the staff were very friendly. Easy check in and out. We have come a few times before and they maintain a high standard each visit. Definitely recommend to everyone. The town is little but everything you need for a getaway

We had not stayed at this Park before. Thoroughly enjoyed it.Clean,tidy,quiet and friendly.close to beach,shops,walks. We had our dog with us in our Caravan, as did many others. Everyone was mindful of cleaning up after their dogs too. We will definitely be back.

Great Caravan, very accommodating for after hours arrival. Large level site. Amenities cleaned regularly. Easy pre check in and ability to re book for the following year. Easy short walk to beach, surf club, and township which has an IGA, post office, Newsagency, bakery just to name a few. Able to purchase a pass to take 4x4 on the beach. Looking forward to returning next year.

On check in a member of staff, Neelan/m lied about what she could clearly see on the screen & told us we only booked a grass site. I questioned this twice and said I’m sure we booked a slab & that is why we didn’t bring any annexe flooring. She lied on these two requests from me to check & said”no it’s grass. “ I asked her to check if there were any slabs available as we were staying 10 days and she said “no”. We had driven 6 hours so went & set up as we wanted to get settled. Later that night I went through my emails and found the email that clearly said”slab site”. I went back & spoke to the lady in the office and she said on the screen she could see clearly -SLAB site!?!? I asked why Neelan/m did this & she replied “she’s like that!” I cannot understand why an employee would do this, except to upset & annoy customers. This second staff member also said there was slab sites available & offered us one, but of course we were now set up & my husband did not want to move! I asked to speak to the manager. And was told Kerry, the manager had gone home for the day. I asked that the staff tell her I had called in about this and asked if ”Kerry could call me?” This never happened! The office staff are completely dysfunctional given the way this situation was handled. We have been camping & travelling in Australia for over 18 years and this has NEVER happened before!! Needless to say we will not be returning to this park!

Terrible stay, we were put on a site that was not suited for our van l even when specifically asked for what we needed, Sites are completely unlevel, full of big tree roots making for trip hazards and sore feet and I maintained, beach access gate missing allowing scummy locals to come in through the park and rip out our power and water. Spoke to receptionist/manager about issues and was no help at all. Ridiculous prices for sites for what you get. We will not be back

They have a cheek charging for site 167 as even with the aid of a ramp and bits of wood the Caravan could not be leveled. the matting was past is used by date, small and uneven. I could have moved but there were three of us together so inconvenient. Also, they don't bother answering the phone for a couple of days. I made four calls over two days and finally got a call back on the third day. The "too busy" excuse does not wash, just appallingly bad Customer service. Then between the call center and the Park, they double bill me, and both my friend and I paid for the same site. A credit was promised immediately but, five business days later my friend still does not have the credit. So very poor, not up to the standards of Reflections Parks and should not ccarry that brand. Avoid the place!

Probably the worst shape the campsite has been in in over 20 years. Our camp site has become more eroded each year with more exposed tree roots, less usable campsite and zero grass - but hey, at least that saves on mowing costs between occupants ; maintenance standard has gone backwards and there have been no improvements, only further degradation of the general aesthetic and user-amenity of the park since our last visit 12 month ago.
