Banyan Tree Hangzhou

Utterly disappointed with the staff. The hotel infrastructure is fine but the staff is neither friendly nor helpful. I booked a one night stay just to enjoy the photography session wearing the traditional costumes. I was 30 mins late for the appointment (my own fault due to traffic). The staff told me the photographer had left. I accepted it. It only later dawn on me that I could have still gone ahead with the costumes and take the photographs myself without their photographer when I was walking around the hotel and noticed children in traditional costumes plyaing. I wished the staff had offered me that once in a lifetime opportunity. Instead they offered nothing. I am utterly disappointed and I will not return again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a fantastic stay at Banyan tree at Hangzhou. This was my second time here and the staffs here were super friendly. Loved the ambience and gardening, although the amenities are a little bit dated

very nice atmosphere, we loved the home-ish feeling we got and the service was very very nice, the staffs were very friendly and were able to communicate in english well.

We stayed here to celebrate our friend for one night. The staff gave us a birthday cake and the room was really comfortable. Thanks to the hotel, we had a wonderful birthday night! After checking out, we had a bit trouble about payment, but the staff, Si Zhuqing, helped me lots and quickly. We all want to stay there again!
