Omdat het aan de overkant van de weg naar het West Lake ligt, heb ik ervoor gekozen om voor de t****e keer in Sofitel West Lake te verblijven. Jessica bij de receptie was warm en attent, vroeg mijn behoeften van tevoren, maakte aantekeningen en regelde een rustige kamer aan de overkant, en kreeg een upgrade naar de executive verdieping. De gehumaniseerde service zorgt ervoor dat mensen zich warm voelen. Als je in de kleine tuin op het dak staat, kijk je uit over het West Lake en kun je genieten van de zonsondergang als je de weg oversteekt. Het prachtige landschap van West Lake in maart!

De locatie van het hotel is erg goed. Je loopt in een paar minuten naar het West Lake. 's Ochtends kun je naar het West Lake gaan voor een wandeling, een wandeling en de frisse lucht inademen. Het is geweldig. Het bedienend personeel is ook erg vriendelijk.Voor het inchecken belde mevrouw Shen van het hotel op voorhand om te communiceren en te vragen naar de gewoonten en vereisten van de accommodatie, de arrangementen zijn zeer redelijk, raad deze winkel ten zeerste aan!

Excellent location and service. Arrived midnight and allowed us to check in early the next morning. Gave us an odd numbered room as requested with excellent street views. Cross one street to West Lake but no views from hotel.

Excellent service from seamless check-in and check out. Staff were friendly and helpful. My son accidentally triggered the emergency button in the toilet. The response from the staff were swift and someone was send to check in on us. We were really apologetic for causing the false alarm
Certain parts of the hotel appear dated but it is a non issue to us. The room was clean and felt really cozy. Our level have access to the rooftop garden where you can catch a glimpse of the lake.
Breakfast spread was awesome and constantly being replenished.
The only downside is the location. The roads near the hotel are frequently jammed. We encountered 2 times where the taxi drivers were not willing to drop us off at the hotel lobby as the roads were jammed.
The subway is within walking distance but still quite far for us.

It was nice and the meals also awesome but we didn’t really appreciate that the swimming pool wasn’t open - we weren’t informed before our stay, and for us it was the most important thing besides the Westlake Sea.

If you want to be a stone throw away from the West Lake, this is a fantastic place to be. With everything you would want to see right on your doorstep. Our room, although a little dated, was clean and comfortable. I do prefer a firm bed and this was on the soft side. Make sure to bring a USB plug as there were no usb sockets in our room. Also, for a room with a street view rather than a residential building, ask for an odd numbered room. Breakfast selection was great and varied.
