Wij vonden dit hotelletje via het ANWB-boekje over Noord-Duitsland. De daarin genoemde zeer gunstige prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is inmiddels enigszins bijgesteld (met name de prijs). Vriendelijke ontvangst, goed advies waar je kunt eten in de buurt enz. (behalve dan als je liefhebber bent van Ramen en een straatje verderop in het tentje wil gaan slurpen - reserveer dan je plekje!) Parkeergarage is voor de fijnproever van het betere stuur- en manoeuvreerwerk. Ideale ligging voor verkenning van de populaire buurt. Ook om snel in de stad te komen met bus en metro vlakbij. Goed ontbijt waarvoor je wel een tijdsblok moet reserveren. Na corona was het behoorlijk druk geworden in het hotel wat af en toe leidde tot enkele slordigheden. Die werden prima gecompenseerd door de parkeerkosten van de bon te schrappen.

The Hotel has exactly what you need. Very nice breakfast, clean room, nice terrace and bar! Quiet. Very good location, but best of all is the people working there, absolutely all people was super nice and happy to help with anything!! Strongly recommended!

From the moment I arrived i was treated like a VIP. Daniel had remembered that we had emailed prior to my arrival (I had a few questions), and not only welcomed me, but went out of his way to get me into my room early, and the hotel was 100% booked! The location is excellent to walk anywhere in Hamburg, but public transport is also nearby. I traveled alone with no car but they also have paid parking garage on site. There is a beautiful terrace out back to enjoy also. The room was clean, not large, but had everything you need for comfort including AC that works great, if desired. Since I did not desire room cleaning, they offer a glass of wine in their wine bar as a replacement. I was super impressed with breakfast (included), and had everything desired......eggs cooked to order, cappuccino, latte, coffee, juice, along with bread rolls, selection of cheese, meat and fresh cut vegetables.....I didn't try any of the other offerings, but there is something for everyone....gluten free, lactose free etc. The service was impeccable! I would not only stay here whenever my travels include Hamburg, but would plan my stay around their availability!

We have just had two nights staying at the Hotel st Annen and found it to be very friendly, super comfortable and clean, good breakfasts and a great central location. I would highly recommend and would use again next time we are in Hamburg. A genuine 5 star review.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The service was great. The food was great. The staff were very knowledgeable about the local area and were very forthcoming with great recommendations. The room was very clean and neat. Everything in the room worked well. We came to the hotel by train from the airport. A short walk from the station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6-night stay at Hotel St. Annen and are already planning our next stay there. Our double room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. (We wished we could have taken the pillows and bedding home with us.) The room overlooked a courtyard and we could open the windows and hear birdsong. The water temperature and pressure in the shower were good, and the shampoo, soap, and lotion were of nice quality. We did not try the TV, but the WiFi worked well. We looked forward to breakfast each morning: high quality coffee/tea, fresh juices and smoothies, assorted croissants and rolls, tasty eggs made to order, German sliced meats and cheeses, overnight oats, fruit, and a variety of sweet and savory spreads. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We are from the US and were glad to be able to converse in English with them, but I also want to remark on their patience with my broken German. The location was great for us. Hamburg is a beautiful city with much to explore, and we were able to walk / take public transportation everywhere we wanted to go. We highly recommend Hotel St. Annen.

This was a surprisingly great stay. The Hotel is tucked away right in a quiet neighborhood in St. Pauli. The team is very friendly and also surprisingly international which I didn’t expect in such a small house. Rooms and public spaces very clean! Breakfast is reduced, however the quality is superb - a lot of organic produce - and you find all you need. The room is a little dark - all grey - some brighter color would be nice. But really this is just a matter of taste. I certainly will be back.

We came to Hamburg for the first time in December, for 3 nights, and the St Annen was a great place to stay, at a great price. Everything was perfect, from the wonderful staff, to the comfortable, modern room, to the lovely breakfasts. And for a small hotel to have a proper 24-hour reception is a real boon for late arrivals. It's located on a quiet street in a fairly bohemian area, but don't let that put you off. It's only about 5 minutes walk to the St Pauli U-bahn, which gets you into the city centre quickly, or you could even walk into the centre in about 20 minutes. All in all, thoroughly recommended!

Stayed here for three nights while visiting my nephew. The staff were very friendly and professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious fresh breakfast. There is a lovely garden area in the bak. I can't say enough good things about Hotel St. Annen. Very happy with my experience.
