We booked the whole sea view room which is facing the city park and bay. Got a good sea view from window and public patio right out side of our room.
The city placed very loud music at night till very late for there is city park right cross street.
The room is very small after 2 queen beds, only one person can walk through at the time in the room from bed to bathroom.
No hot water kettle in the room, so a bit inconvenient when we want to make hot instant coffee in the room.

Stay away! This place stinks; literally! The bathroom is atrocious(look at the pictures), the staff are not helpful, the restaurant doesn’t serve food and the beds were poorly cleaned.
The only positive thing I can say about this place is it’s location, although be warned it is very loud until midnight.

The Catba Deam Holet is family owned and operated and located in the center of town. The family makes everyone feel welcome and will look after your every need, from attention to anything in your room, to motorbike rentals and tours. The inexpensive motorbikes are worth the opportunity to see all the small city has to offer. The rooms are all spacious and air conditioned. The hotel is located across the street from a central wharf and public square with a view of the city and outer islands. If you wake up to public announcements know the city uses a public address system to announce news of the day to its residents. It was a great place.

The owner/manager gave us great service. He went out of his way to help us book excursions and gave us information on what to do in Cat Ba. And he gave us a fair price on our rooms. Rooms were clean and adequate for the price. Excellent location. Delicious restaurants all around.

We absolutely loved Cat Ba Dream Hotel. Hands down the comfiest beds we have slept in the entire 3 months we have travelled so far! The owner was amazing and was always there to help! We were allowed an early check in and got upgraded to a bigger room which was super! The hotel itself is a little tired but for such a reasonable price and it’s in a fabulous location how can you complain!

Good area, rooms were dirty and they play a very load speaker outside the hotel late at night and early morning easily heard making it very hard to sleep
