The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa

This is a super amazing highly well maintained property surrounded by lush greenery, exotic variety of birds and just immense peace. A real feel good place especially for people staying in Delhi- NCR this is absolute heaven. Our experience was extremely nice right from food, activities, pool activity. The only spoil sort was the checkout experience. The person at the reception was rude and not ready to cooperate. When we did our reservation through the Westin central reservation there were certain things included in the package which was mentioned to me on the phone as well however when checking out, this person said it’s not mentioned in the package and hence he won’t be able to give us all this discounts. I insisted a lot and he was ada***t and his tone was just very putting off. He finally give us some discount but not what was promised to us by central reservation. I would request the hotel to ensure that their checkin and check out staff is traveller friendly and always ready to cooperate. This makes a huge difference especially in hotel industry which is completely service oriented. Very minor things can spoil the whole experience.

While, I have loved everything about Westin sohna up until our last visit. 1. It started from the moment we checked in - we were given a very dirty cottage which had been shut for a couple of days (As per the staff) and had the most horrible smell with curtains which became almost grey because it hadn't been washed or dry cleaned in a really long time. We requested for a change of room which was accepted by the hotel. 2. For both lunch and dinner, we were told that the pizza oven in the restaurant was not working. 3. At the Asian restaurants, the steamer was not working and hence they told us that couldn't give us dimsums. Which when we made a hue and cry about, the request was fullfilled. I don't know how. 4. Lastly and the MOST critical. Westin Sohna has a small playarea where both my boys and my friend's kid were playing post breakfast. While my son was playing he got badly hurt because of a sharp wooden ledge which was not child proofed. My son was in a pool of blood and had to get 10 stitches on his forehead. What's surprising is that none of the senior members from Westin Sohna came forward to meet us or even call later to know the well being of my child. It's ironic that a 6 years old child can get so badly hurt in a playarea which is supposed to have all the necessary safeguards. I am so so disappointed with my last visit. I wouldn't wish to visit it again for sure.

It was a great experience. The staff is really helpful and accommodating. It is a good for pets as well. The Royal pool villa is amazing. Komal was in particular very helpful through out our stay. The breakfast and the dinner spread was elaborate as well.

It was good to be back at one of mine favorite resort property of India. Thank you to Mr. Ishaan and his team for the smooth check-in as well as check-out process, an upgrade to 2 bedroom pool villa and looking after all our basic stay needs. The 2 bedroom pool villa is very spacious and well designed. It has 2 very comfortable single beds in one room and a king bed in another. Lots of seating arrangement is there in the living room ***** with a dining table suitable for 4 person. The welcome amenity was VVIP with sweets and savories. Thank you Mohit Chef, Chef Gaurav, Chef Sourabh, Chef Jassi, Chef Shtrugan, and all the kitchen staff for the mouthwatering dishes prepared with care and bursting flavors. The red Brick is the perfect place to start your day on a delightful note with a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely morning meal. The lunch and dinner buffet spread was lavish and delectable. The mini zoo is the place to spend some time with the little ones. Horse riding, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, carrom, snooker, kids play area, swimming pool, etc. are some of the facilities available. Thank you to Mr. Naveen and his team for giving us great service and wonderful feast at all times and also making us witness a wonderful cricketing tournament. Congratulations on your win and above all a good sports***ship.Thank you Mr. Pradeep, Ms. Babita, Mr. Arshad, Mr. Suraj (IRD), Mr. Aditya, Ms. Rani, Mr. Bablu, Mr. Suraj ( F&B), Mr. Pankaj, Mr. Hi***shu, Mr. Prins ( Front Desk) - for his patience , Mr. Chirag, Mr Rupesh ( Housekeeping), Mr Keshav ( Housekeeping) and all others who were part of making our holiday/stay a memorable one. Disappointing factor was the outdoor activity area. Not maintained at all. The go-kart was all malfunctioning and the tracks are not maintained as well. The zip line ends as soon as it begins. Thank you to Ms. Aparna for being kind to the children and always helping them. She was very polite and nice towards every one. Thank you for teaching our children how to cycle.

Their staff and ***agement has really deteriorated. Specially guest services who take the in house booking have no consideration towards their regular guests who are coming since decades. . We were refused an upgrade a day before our check in as one of the staff member had told us at the time of booking that it can be done if I write in an email to them. in fact we were upgraded ***y times before in these 20 years. It was my sisters special day and a day before check in they asked for money for the upgrade . Which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Especially Ratnesh was not at all cooperative and doesn’t deserve to be in the organisation. Our special day was ruined by them. I firmly feel this place is not the same as it used to be before specially for their regular guests they have no consideration at all.

My stay at Westin sona was overwhelming n memorable. Special courtesy regards to Mr Trilok and Atul n Babita from restaurant who made our stay extremely comfortable joyous n unforgettable. Would love to visit the place again with family n friends

Contrary to popular reviews, it was not as expected. The upkeep of rooms , staff outlook & reception staff’s checking out experience was awful . Only the restaurant staff at the Breakfast and Chinese restaurant at dinner was ok . The complimentary tea fir club members was awful. Paper cups , plates, cold tea & unhealthy gluten loaded fried snacks were a slap on the face of Marriot’s hospitality. The room bedside lamp was damaged , the bath area was stinking and representative of house keeping staff’s limited skills or values. Marriot is on its way down if it were to keep going like this . Excellent property but soul- less ! The Gurgoan property on MG Road is worth its money but this is a horrendous outfit. Buckle up or go down. This industry’s nit fir slackers . Club membership have been oversold to anyone & anyone .

We had booked two rooms at The Westin Sonha Resort & Spa to celebrate my mother's birthday and I cannot thank the staff enough for making it such memorable occasion for our party. I had contacted the resort in advance to inform them that my mother had mobility issues and Komal at the front desk very kindly provided us with a complimentary upgrade to two ground-level villas, which was much appreciated. On arrival, my mother was presented with a complimentary birthday cake - which was delicious - and a beautiful selection of confectionery/fresh fruit in her room, which were a lovely touch. ***ish was in charge of housekeeping and the villa was beautifully presented. It was a joy to explore the beautifully landscaped grounds of the resort. A bonus for my mother is the golf cart service offered by the resort, which meant she did not miss out on anything and could easily access all the communal areas. Mohit ferried her across the grounds on numerous occasions in his cart and also offered her a helping hand to reach her chosen venue once she had climbed down from the cart. The food and beverage ***ager, Naveen Tanwar, kept in close contact with me throughout our stay to ensure the service at the various restaurants within the resort met our expectations. He made arrangements for our table to be decorated for the birthday celebration and also provided another complimentary cake following our meal. The breakfast spread is extensive, offering a splendid array of cooked and continental options which was much appreciated by our party. We would really like to thank everyone at The Westin Sonha Resort & Spa for an incredible stay. The service from start to finish was amazing and we look forward to visiting the resort again.

My overall experience of hospitality and staff was overwhelming. The staff was very humble, caring and understood our needs very well. Staff like chirag, babita, Akhilesh and Anirudh enhanced our dining experience. The place is filled with exciting and fun activities for both children and adults. The ambiance is very comforting. Excellent place for a family staycation.
