Beautiful location, not so close if you don’t have a car. Very nice restaurant, very good breakfast.

Zalig vertoeven! Ruime, propere kamers. Zicht op de rivier. Uitstekend restaurant, ontbijt werd deels aan tafel bediend en was goed. Het enige aandachtspunt is dat de afstand van de verste kamers tot receptie / restaurant behoorlijk ver is. Als je met oudere personen op stap bent, best hiermee rekening houden.

Accommodation was comfortable with bedroom/bathroom upstairs and a nice sitting room on ground level. Highlights included the excellent restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast), and access to fantastic walks around the Douro valley (really recommend Pinhao/Casal de Loivos trek for incredible views...and wine tasting if desired). Staff were very attentive-even set us up with Champions League Football during our stay!!

Lovely view from our room, quiet (and large!). We stayed one night in March, so we weren't able to use the pool or patio but I imagine it would be close to perfect. Know that there isn't a 24-hour desk...this is not a large hotel...and plan the early checkout accordingly. A quick walk to the boat docks and little town.

Our visit to QDLR was fantastic. It was low season and relatively quiet. Comfy beds, good pillows, fabulous breakfast and we had dinner there one night and it was excellent. It was rainy and cold so we only tried the short hike but the area is beautiful and we hope to return when the weather is better.

Absolutely brilliant. A beautiful hotel set in stunning surroundings. The people were so friendly and professional. The service was as good as anywhere I have been. The room was spotless. The bathroom was stocked with Molton Brown products and the food and drink was of the highest order. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone. The only thing I can’t truly describe is how good it made me feel staying there.
