Domaine des Andéols

It’s the attention to detail that gets you noticed, but the lack of attention that gets noticed more. Three night stay in a “Nature” suite was pleasant enough but not exactly fabulous, unless maybe home is a city centre apartment somewhere. Patio garden overgrown, housekeeping distinctly lacking on amenity replenishment and, in keeping with many modern hotels today, motion sensor lighting that is more of a hinderance than a help. Overall staff were quite friendly but not exactly efficient, booking for a hairdresser took over an hour with no result. Two minutes on Google and a phone call later, done. Finally the restaurant. Unfortunately, my wife was ill for a few days (not due to the hotel I stress) so we did not get to try much, but the final dinner in the rather eclectic restaurant setting saw a single langoustine of shrimp proportions (at Euro 38) and duck that had to be returned as too tough to even cut. Overall very poor standard, which could also be said of breakfast. Standard motel fare I’m afraid. A shame, could be so much better.

We had a wonderful experience at les Andeols. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The domaine is huge and it was so much fun to explore the property. Although, we’re a little bummed we didn’t get to take a dip at the pool because it wasn’t heated. Thank you for a great stay.

The 32 hectares domaine is an oasis of tranquility and joyful sounds of singing birds. A beautiful landscape garden surrounds the 11 independant villa’s, some with their own swimming pool, 8 ‘suites nature’ and 3 design swimming pools. And around this scenary are planted cypress trees, vineyards, fruit and olive trees, lavender and vegetables and herbs. It can be seen that the owner Olivier Massart, born in this place, is an art director who still has one of the most important world wide event management companies ‘La Mode on Images’. He shaped the fashion business in the late fifties, beginning sixties, and works since then with the most important fashion designers. The interiors of the villa’s, suites and the two restaurants are very fashionably furnished, with paintings on the walls and other objects of art. We stayed in one of those villa’s called Amis with an memorable shower. All mirrors against the walls with a glass ceiling(!) But the rest of the villa is also glamerous and very spacy with a large four-poster bed. The food in both restaurants is very good. One is of them ‘La Loggia’ is Michelin worthy. The other one is called ‘Le Platane’ because of the immense multicentennial plane tree which itself is excessible for lunch or dinner. Under it is a lovely terras where you als can enjoy the lovely food also for lunch or dinner overlooking the park. Breakfast is extensive with everything you wish for. The service is very friendly. To go short, this is an exceptional place to stay in many ways.

Since day 1st I thought that I didn’t reserve enough days to spend in that wonderful and marvelous place. The owner one of the greatest face of fashion industry put all his talent in the decoration of this dream..everything is perfect and so good taste. The staff amazing, from Alexia,Romain at the reception, so patient.Jo, Philippe, Mateo so kind..and the amazing chef ..the food is great and delicious.Best club sandwich, Provençal food, and even the Caesar salad is special and delicious. Can’t wait to go back to this paradise on earth..

Fantastic gardens, pool area, beautiful art and more.... the rooms are beautiful but not everything functions properly. The restaurant service has kind people but the concept of the restauration is bizarre. Dommage.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Les Andeols. Philip was exceptionally helpful and friendly to us, and he really went out of his way to help us with anything we needed, and show us around the property. He even organized a private lunch for us underneath the tree at Le Platane. The service was exceptional, the food was amazing, and the property was absolutely stunning. Overall, we were so happy with our experience.

The location is amazing however the team has not the quality level assumed in such a high pricing hotel. Parts of the hotel were not ready for the saison. Only few qualified employees, the rest untrained or missing training and supervision.

The restaurant is located in a huge (!) park decorated with numerous sculptures - a true museum, so come early - the outside part is located under a vast tree which you may even climb by a stair, inside very modern architecture. Quite tricky to find the restaurant from the hotel parking, best inquire at the reception, and quite a walk, too. The food is traditional Provence, pricewise on the high side - you pay for the place. Service is agreeable, however, quite impersonal for the region - maybe incited by the Director who came to greet all guests in a very stiff manner.

This is a beautiful property but unfortunately, the staff aren’t willing to go over and above to keep guests happy. We had a mix up with the dates booked. The hotel could have easily sided with the guest but instead refused to make any concession. A wonderful stay ended on a sour note because of the hotel’s need to make an extra few hundred dollars.
