We have just returned from a wedding stay. The venue was absolutley stunning but more importantly all the staff from every team where exeptional. From the function team, front of house teams, catering and the lovely house keeping team nothing was too much trouble for each friendly and attentive staff member. I really can't praise the venue enough. Thank you Stirk house hotel for a perfect weekend.

I married my best friend at stirk house on 3rd Feb. We had the best day of our lives. From the moment we booked right until the moment we left all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is to much trouble and they go out of their way to make sure your day is perfect. Dave the master of ceremonies is an absolute credit to the team, what a treasure! He is brilliant at what he does and really makes the day. The food is excellent, the venue is beautiful, and the bedrooms are lovely. We couldn't fault anything, we really did have the most perfect wedding day..even the sun made an appearance after it had forecast rain all week! Thankyou so much to all the fantastic staff for all your hard work x

Really would have liked a small fridge if staying more than 1 night. Would have been nice to have shower caps and the small things like comb, toothpaste, a handrail on bath would have helped me get out without worrying of slipping. The suite was very comfortable, but over two or more days stay, big cups for tea, but then again, seems petty, against all the positives

Attended for a wedding.Lovely hotel,room , great breakfast. and the staff throughout the day were very helpful and professional. Only problem is you can't check in till 15.30 and you need to check out by 10.30. That's out of the dark ages and needs to change

The hotel is beautiful, the setting is stunning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We had an amazing time at the wedding we attended there. The real fire in the lounge was so cozy. Wish we’d had more time there. Thank you

We enjoyed a two-night stay in this lovely hotel, full of character and set in beautiful grounds. Unfortunately, the weather was poor (atrocious!) so we were unable to make full use of these, but they are a great asset. Booked a suite which was very spacious and well-equipped, a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom with shower and stand-alone bath. A shaving socket and adjustable shaving-mirror in the bathroom would have been a useful addition, together with toiletries for the bath (provided for the shower). Very comfortable bed but could do with larger, better-quality pillows. Otherwise, very comfortable and blissfully quiet. Dined in for breakfast and dinner. Both excellent, though the cooked breakfast choice was rather limited. Very pleasant and helpful staff all round. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return.

Cannot fault this hotel ,rooms great, food great .Our stay was perfect and the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful and pleasant particular mention must go to a lady who does the breakfast service ,I think her name was Wan she was great along with the chefs who helped with my wife's dietary requirements

It is a lovely place. Very clean. Grounds were lovely, The only complaint was that we couldn't have our keys until 3.30, we was there as part of the wedding party staying over and would think that exceptions should be made as I think we booked nearly all the rooms.

We had a superior room, we were told it would accommodate 4 adults, but the bed situation was not ideal. At reception my 43 year old son was told by your staff that the room was for 2 adults and a child not 4 adults. I think you need to either re define the status of your rooms or retrain your staff to not say something that may upset clients. The bathroom was huge so no complaints there. We could not get another room as hotel was full with guests who were also attended the wedding of my niece ( goddaughter) . My son was told “ you can try the pub down the road if you want” which put my back up. Otherwise a nice stay.
