Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for skiing and other outdoor activities in a beautiful area. Close walk to stores and restaurants.

Fantastic historical hotel but not well updated for modern amenities or technology. The food was amazing some of the best we had in Norway.

Great location to the train station, shopping, and trails. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Lots of Norwegian decor and beautiful interior. The room was quiet.

Super friendly staff and great service. We had dinner at the hotel restraurant which performed very high service and food quality. Truly a recommendation.

We really enjoyed staying at Dr Holms Hotel. It’s old, appears to have an original building and multiple additions, but the grand, rich character is still there. Breakfast was great- we just wish we had more time!

My favorite hotel in Geilo. We often pass through and spend a night or two and have tried a few other hotels in the area, but I always end up back here. Nice place, nice service and facilities, central and just a good feel in general. Worth paying slightly more compared to cheaper options for me.
I have one minor annoyance every time though: Some bathrooms are a bit dated and the showerheads in many family rooms(?) almost can't be angled out at all (when the shower head is in it's holder at max angle out the water still mostly hits the wall, so unless you are holding the head or taking a bath you need to stand pressed into the wall to get hit by some of the water).
